Polish seem reserved and cold on the streets it is only because if you smile at random people on the street they will think you are creepy and weird but once you get to know them then they are anything but reserved. So maybe the Africans, South Americans and southern Europeans might see it as cold but they are mistaken. Being well fed is important in Poland the food is meaty and stodgy but for some strange reason the people are still mostly slim. I recommend you visit in the summer when you get all the fresh and sometimes organic fruits coming in from the countryside, amazingly natural and flavoursome such as the cherries, plums and apples. The summer is warm to hot most of the time and interupted by occasional thunderstorms which adds to the atmosphere and excitement. The winters tend to be freezing and snowy so the Polish climate has big contrasts and for that reason it is not boring.
