    That’s a ton of leleupi!!! Jason you have done fantastic with these beauties!😍I’m about to get out of the Malawi cichlids myself, they breed like rabbits, running me out of tank space, and they aren’t moving along as fast as I’d like., so once they are sold off, time for a change🙂👍🏻 great update mate!💯⭐️

    lovely seeing th tank full of your tanks produce.. had a doubt Jason...you keep few Tangs...among them which are most aggressive if not breeding??? I know all get aggressive during spawning...but otherwise which are very aggressive..?? Julis..Brichardis..Luleupi...Transcriptus...Calvus???

  • @JasonsCichlids

    Thank you David. The most aggressive when not breeding? I would have to rank them as leleupi and transcriptus the worst, if you can say that. They are aggressive to their own kind really. Next would be regani and brichardi. Regani are said to be the least aggressive of all the Julidochromis even though they grow the largest. But again, they are more aggressive with their own kind. Then calvus. One of the most peaceful of cichlids even though they are built for eating fry!

    And wanted your expert opinion on why not to mix Malawis and Tangs??

  • @JasonsCichlids

    @JasonsCichlids

    Oh you can mix them, I just have a preference for Tangs. That said, I wouldn't mix Mbuna cichlids with say peaceful cichlids like calvus. So just be mindful of adding shy fish together with very active Malawi cichlids.

    @@JasonsCichlids I have a female chindongo saulosi that I can't put anything in the tank with I wanted it to be more of a community tank but anything I put in she will kill shes just too aggressive should I buy a male to go with her or any tips

  • @JasonsCichlids

    What other fish were you trying to put in with the saulosi? In general, Cichlids are aggressive fish, so if you were adding fish to the tank, other than Cichlids may explain why you have been losing fish. If it was other Cichlids, then I suggest a few things. One, add fish of similar size. Two, add numerous fish, not just 1 or 2. Three, mix up the rocks/decorations you have in the tank before you add in new fish. That will give an advantage to the new fish as all the territories are reset. Hope those tips help.
