does an exhaust tip change the sound at all? I would think not. but just wondering.

Some people claim that they hear a difference with a tip versus non, but everyone is different. I don’t hear a sound difference.

George Johnson if you have an exhaust tip thats bigger than your exhaust, take it on and off while your truck is running. You'll hear the difference.

I think the biggest difference is going to be the size of exhaust the full length and the manifold you have. I was trying to find information on the effects that tips have on sound, and really the only thing I could find was that the thinner the metal, the raspier and more tinny sounding it would be. And the thicker the wall the deeper, and the bigger the diameter the deeper it will be as well. There are just a lot of combinations, especially when you get into stacks.

What language is this in?

My 2006 6L powerstroke will have a 4 inch straight piped exhaust system with a 4 inch inlet 8 inch 18 inch long

My factory exhaust tip is 5” at the widest end then going toward the truck tapers down onto a 3” pipe....so where would it be cut to add a different tip and what size do I get?? It’s a 2021 GMC Sierra Durmax turbo diesel ...... thank you

When i installed my magnaflow the tip came turndown i don't like it... Is there a bolt on tip that makes it look like it's coming straight out....or would i have to cuttoff the tail pipe until straight

so why didnt he talk about the main reason we put tips on.. the tone man, how are the different tones? the only reason you put a tip on is for looks and for sound, nothing else

If it’s a 3” exhaust, we carry several different options.

i need a 3" inlet to a 6" out in a turn down about 12" long can you point me in the right direction

I want to get one for my 03 Highlander cause the stock tip is all rusty looking. The problem is that it's slightly pointed down. Any recommendations?

Is it better to weld a tip in?? If so do you think in your opinion to cut the tip then weld it in?? Help. Thanx

Bolt on is better. Most of our popular tips are offered as a bolt-on option.

i do see some of them have small holes at inner side of dual wall exhaust tip, do those holes reduce the noise of the exhaust?

Will tips make a difference if you have a straight pipe only and no tips or muffler at all

It's the way the sound resonates off the surface of the ground(if turned down)... you'll likely get a deeper tone with less reverberation

I don’t know that the tips will make them louder per se, but the dual wall are what customers tell us sound the best.
