What exactly is going to take the place of the old Utah State Prison site

If you've driven near the point of the mountain lately, you've probably noticed the giant space of land where the Utah State Prison used to sit and the changes that are underway.
But what exactly is going into that space and when will it be finished?
The vast area of 600 acres is part of a master plan called "The Point."

That is going to be the most haunted place in all of Utah. I wouldn’t go near it. It’ll be worse then Amityville horror.

@Pocket Square I wish they would have allowed tours before they started to knock it down. You would’ve been able to see the area where the inmates heads got chopped off by the doors. The blood would go all the way up in this tower area and they couldn’t get it clean. The area was small but the tower went really high. We aren’t talking about 1 or 2 inmates going out like that. There had to be quite a few. 🫣🤢🤮 No lie! Ask one of the officers that worked there. They will tell you all about it. 😣 Besides they used to bury them down there. That is one freaking old prison.

Water, water, water, it's a rich man's world! Money, monet, money. When did the state become a developer? A park, guess you didn't listen to those that wanted a park.

Central park in new york city is the most valuable part of life that the NYC people have. After they build underground trains and jammed people into 100sq feet apartment space, the public just wanted a park. The kids just wanted to fly a kite. The working man just wanted to ride a peddle bike. The dog owners just wanted to walk the dog. What they all had in common is zero people wanted to see more high rise buildings jammed into an existing city. The concern is that if you are not senators son you would have the same opportunity to make money off the public pain

Residents get economic opportunities and affordable housing. If the housing in this specific development isn't affordable, it will at least increase the number of units in Utah thus bringing down the price everywhere else in the valley.

If you live or work there and you get a feeling of drowning, getting drugged or getting molested in your sleep just know that it could be Martin Macneill’s ghost. You may be at the spot where he committed suicide.💀

Why not take the 600 acres and make 2400 1/4 acre lots and build 2400 single family homes so that our inventory rises. People my age have no chance at buying a home and inventory is the problem.😒

The government could have made a very large homeless shelter and rehab facility for people who don't have a career job or a home 🤔

I'm so excited for this development. Housing is so unaffordable and this will be an efficient housing development. It's the best use of the land. I'm excited to live there.
