because of the decompression at low rpms the reading should be around 36 psi to 66 psi. Check the manual for specified data. I also saw your other videos. Always adjust the carburettor to run properly with all the air box parts on, even the lid. If you adjust it to run fine without it its going to be rich once the lid is on since the air box restricts the air flow (causing the back fires that you experienced).

I bought and 840 brute last year that didn't run. Yeah... After 1000 surgery at a repair shop... I got it back in pieces in boxes... Needs everything.... Spat both rod bearings... Destroyed crank and connecting rods.. Scored pistons and cylinders... Destroyed the cams... Has crack in the left case.. And the bevel gears are chipped.. 4000.00 where I am for parts. Neat how a 3k machine can turn into 8k just like that ...

Now it makes for a good winter project, you are doing gut surgery on a POS now, doesn't sound right but in the end you'll get it figured out. Love the drive shaft - why can all be that easy. Cheers

Was hoping to use it to plow this winter. Maybe in the New Year. Ya, I used to hate taking out my Drive shaft on the Can Am.

That was the original plan but plans never seem to work out. Maybe in the New Year I can use it to do some plowing.

Look to me that the valve seat is toast on that valve and allowed the valve to get sucked up farther into the head! Usually caused by getting hot or defect!

Ya, that valve was definitely not sealing properly and the piston rings were worn down...figure it was all caused by the K & N filter that wasn't sealing properly. Never liked K & N.
