🇨🇳 What Does The Worlds Most STINKY Noodle Dish TASTE Like? 🐌 🍜 Liuzhou Luosifen
The true story of us going home to visit Li's family is revealed in how Li asks her friend to meet up, and join us for her favorite noodle dish of LuoSiFen (and this is the FIRST thing we did after arriving in Li's hometown). Even though I uploaded our family visit video first, this was our reception in terms of food... and what a reception to LiuZhou it was!
Thank you for joining us for another totally unique and mind-blowing combination of both CULTURE and FLAVOR. So much of what I miss from China is evident in this short video - the time we are spending here each day is so special, all the places we visit are memorable - this restaurant definitely holds its own.
LuoSiFen is the LiuZhou dish of Snail broth, white rice noodles, and a totally insane amount of sour and spicy additions you add into the dish to taste. Some people go crazy for the chili oil, some love the addition of all the varieties of pickled sides, and my own personal favorite is this combination of tofu skin and deep fried Tofu.

Sabaidee Joel! That looked like an awesome bowl of noodles. It almost had everything but the kitchen sink. Ha. Never had Snail Noodles but definitely would like to try.

When I was in a big city in Guangxi I wasn’t brave enough to have a bowl of this noodle soup. So glad to see Joel enjoying it!
I have never been to China, but I love this noodle dish. Only ever had it in two dried noodle packs and both were excellent.

This is terrific! I love pickled and fermented foods. I *know* that I would enjoy authentic Chinese food. I'm lactose intolerant, so I aporeciate the lack of dairy in Chinese cooking. The west is obsessed with butter, milk, and cheese! 😅

Yea this is one bad ass noodles that one can smell from a mile away, which is pungent and revolting for me but a delicacy for many others. It’s an acquired taste like stinky tofu or durian, etc. The smell actually comes from the fermented bamboo shoots.

Joel is right towards the end about the EVs in China, the adoption rate is crazy fast and you wouldn’t hear much traffic even at busy intersections. The best thing is getting rid of all that dust and smog from a traditional ICE vehicle, the public buses are all EVs too, no more black smoke and noisy engines that we usually associate with a bus. People should just come visit China and experience the life and meet the people, don’t let the western media feed you with stereotypes of China lol

Liuzhou city is one of North QuangTay favorite more oil rice noodle , Tai Yunnan also like much spicy oil. Guilin noodle less oil, south QuangTay prefer fresh new presenting make noodles and less oil , same to Tai people in north Vietnam and Thailand do not favor much spicy oil. We can find many different kinds noodles in Nanning, because of the local TayZhuang people in Nanning are very tolerant and kindness.
