What does the Labour Party offer as it takes power? | Inside Story

The UK has a new prime minister. Keir Starmer has led the Labour Party to a landslide election victory - its first win in more than a decade. But has the electorate truly embraced Labour? Or was this also a vote against the Conservatives? And with third parties on the rise, is UK politics changing shape?
Presenter: Neave Barker
Guests:
Fran Boait -- Former Labour Party candidate
Leon Emirali -- Political commentator and former aide to UK Cabinet Minister Steve Barclay

This was a vote against the Tories more than a vote for Labour. The differences between the two parties are minimal. Labour will continue the austerity, continue to support NATO and Israel. Nothing will change cuz both parties are subordinate to the US and the industrial and financial elite.

Not really. People fed up with the NHS so you going see them give pay raises to doctors. Also, they going to have to increase custom agents and border patrol so their going raise taxes and borrow money as well. But the at this point the British people are so feed up they are willing to do that.

As a cautious note of optimism. He appointed Richard Hermer KC as Attorney General. Richard has been outspoken on the issue of Israeli violations, and against anti-BDS bills, to the point where he became a target of the Jewish Chronicle (despite him being jewish himself), which if anything is a good sign. Of course this government has a lot to prove, but immediately writing them off as exactly the same as Suella Braverman et al., seems like prioritizing one's own cynicism over the actual causes at hand.

Unfortunately this Labour party is nothing like the proper Labour party of old. The party got hijacked by Neoliberals back in 2020, the people controlling the party now are Zionists, NATO-puppets and lobbyist shills. The kicker is, the guy who became the leader by lying and hiding his donors also sabotaged the last election in order to hijack the party.

The Labour “star turns” have tended to be centred on Tory-held South Croydon ward, supposedly a target in the council elections, marginal Waddon, where the local party has been in some disarray over the expulsion of sitting councillor Andrew Pelling, and Addiscombe East, where Maddie Henson’s seat is thought to be under threat from the Tories.

Does the end justify the means? Does the end whomever keeps word of Jesus christ shall never taste physical death justify the means is Abraham died and all the prophets died so does the end justify the means?
