I’m so saddened by our need to breed dogs so small, they suffer. My sister is a vet, and says even regular chihuahuas are too small for medical health and are overbred. To make them ‘teacup’ means a lifetime of pain. This baby is young but she will know soon enough. She’ll only have these videos left to remember. We are selfish creatures, we humans.

first of all, "too small for medical health" doesn't make any sense. like those words, grouped together, don't mean anything. I have an extremely healthy chihuahua and vets have never struggled to care for him due to his size. sounds like your sister might be a shitty vet. there are far smaller animals that vets see, if she can't take care of a small dog... lol I'd hate to bring my pet to her

It’s good that she takes good care of Barley though. Barley was the runt of the litter. It’s better they have a loving home than a shelter or pound. At least barley is sure well taken care of, a whole healthy routine and more.

Unfortunately teacup dogs dont live long, due to their size its horrible for their health and sometimes their organs continue to grow and cause pain. I am sorry for your loss with your Chihuahua and hope she's resting well ❤

As a dog groomer, i usually recommend porcelain/ceramic bowls for dogs with tear stains! Not sure why, but ive noticed metal and plastic can affect them. Purified or spring water can also help! Both are not always solutions, but it doesnt hurt to try

It's typically caused by yeast in the body. Being fed by starches and sugars. Kibble is full of both.

Yes! And to make sure you are giving them pure chlorine free water to drink as well. When we switched from tap water to Berkey filtered water our girls eyes cleared up to normal, the chlorination was drying her out 😢

You do realize right that some small dogs are just extremely hyper It doesn't mean that somebody is treating their dog bad. Animals have different personalities just like people do. But I do agree she is treating him the way he should be treated ❤

I only give my dog breakfast, dinner and treats during the day and random times. This is to adorable.
