All western Ningen Isu fans need to keep flying the flag. They need the promotion, these guys are easily up there with the biggest bands in the world.

I love that its hard to find a song by them under the 4 minute mark. Their tempo changes are so incrediblly well done.

I love this video too - it is so artistic and the aesthetic is so Japanese. That overhead shot of them walking on the shore with long shadows ... it could be a panel from a well-drawn manga.

Once again, thank you for inviting Albert and thanks to him for his kind and interesting words! May I recommand a live track with audience from Band-Maid next time?

Maybe a certain *"Dice / Hate?"* combo from a certain festival downtown in a certain mid-western city in the States?

Too bad you didn't have the translated English subtitles. I find that Ningen Isu usually has interesting lyrics. Their look has evolved a little over the years since the 80's.

I agree. I use the english translation when I can. Their words are much of their music. Many of the songs either have CC or direct translation. This one has an English subtitle version. Thanks!

It seems like you really need to add some lesser known bands to your rotation ;) Albert knew so many of them! That's really cool, though :) Thank you two for the time and all the work/planning that went into making these videos! I'm off listening to Mutant Reformation now. I've been waiting to do that since this series of reactions started but I hadn't heard Part 1 and 2 yet so I needed to catch up first ^^ Very nice work so far!

@@outwest1014 He reacts to Atarashii Gakko! frequently :) Maybe he will get around to show them to Albert next time he's on the channel. Luna Sea is a good call! They are one of the best rock bands from Japan for sure. That performance of Until the Day I die [you know which one I mean, I forgot the name of the live] gives me chills every time. I would add Dir en grey, [sukekiyo] , Sigh and Anthem to the list of bands he needs to hear as soon as possible :) But there are also a lot of non-Japanese bands I would like to see on the channel some day :)

Thanks for organizing this, I'm sure the members of the Ningen isu will be happy to hear that they have been professed fans of B.O.C. for many years. Of course, "Heartless Scat" is a great song, but it's more on the modern side of their music, so I have a feeling that I'd rather hear something more classical. There's even a song called "Mothra" (the same Toei monster movie title as "Godzilla"). *Sorry if it's a strange sentence, it's a machine translation.

Thanks again for spreading the news about all these great Japanese bands and I must say that Albert has great taste in which bands he enjoys. Since he's a drumming he might like the live Band-Maid song "Freedom" with the drum solo by Akane.

I was hoping you would turn on the CC, so that Andy could read the English lyrics. I think he would like the song twice as much. DAMNED! DAMNED! DAMNED! was the first Punk LP I ever bought. I hadn’t considered the similarity in Vanian’s and Wajima’s voices until Andy pointed it out.

I had to re-listen to the album just now. Fun thing: Dir en grey's Kaoru made me aware of The Damned when he named that LP as one of the albums which had an influence on him as a kid. Also: Another band that uses the theremin. I do think it's quite likely that they had a certain influence on Ningen Isu as well :)
