I cannot thank Film Companion enough for this. I would never have even thought about this aspect of films, and now it seems almost silly to not have thought about it. What they do in that tiny room is truly remarkable and I'm extremely glad they and their work was brought to us. So much love and respect for them ❤

As an American, I could not understand most of what they were saying, but good Foley is a universal language, and that I understood perfectly!

foley artists create the sound which is so real made by objects that don't even have an absolute connection to them and matching it onto action on screen! ufff! guys! let's take a bow to them! Huge Respects to them! Their Hardships for every movie to make unique sounds to each movie is so difficult but passionate. Don't watch piracy movies cos it kills the respect towards the movie which made by more than 15,000 people working towards it! Every Movie must be experienced only in Theatres when released, kill piracy and Respect the film.

The first time I encountered the Foley artists' work was I think in the very first Zee Cine Awards when they created the foley sound live...and believe me, I was blown away by that.

Its eye opener for those who watched pirated movies. The amount of hardwork involve even if its a nonsensical film is truly amazing. Now i have to respect all the youtube ads which were bugging me earlier.

Such a fantastic piece of content. Congrats Sneha. Absolutely killing it. Personally, I had no idea of what a foley artist does!

This is such a sweet episode. I have seen how foley is done at Ramoji film city, but this 'operation theatre" like you called is, is such a treasure trove, overflowing with so many props. I wonder how they remember what sound what creates. A very good video with two very sweet gentlemen.

Seriously what a great video....hats off to all the lesser know artists of film making and thank you Film Companion for showcasing this. Really appreciate this kind of content. Loving it.

Fuuuuuccck so much detailing that goes behind creating a scene. Fascinating video. As an audience we often dismiss movies based on how they make us feel. Not even a single thought for the amount of effort that went in to making it.

This is by far the best I have seen on FC !! Such an underrated job this is and honestly I barely knew anything about this. Great going guys!

Such humble artists! I was blown away by their dedication to the job, and the utter simplicity about every aspect of their skills! Also got the impression that this isn't a job that makes much money- which is a sad thing, considering the amount of work and thought that goes in it!

wow just the amount of talent our industry holds and the creativity is just overflowing. hats off to the duo and other such talents and cheers to the efforts @filmcompanion is making in showing the minds behind cinematic glory.

Loved this. So nice that finally someone is paying attention to detail and to the heroes behind the scenes. These two men were awesome!! Great job team Film Companion.

Good episode. You can watch the bengali movie Shabdo for getting a detailed account of the life of a foley artist, how to they create sound, their thought process, their obsession about sound and much more.

Kudos to Film Companion and Sneha for bringing us such little known aspects of film making. Had never heard about "Foley Artists" before, it was wonderful to know about all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes in making a film. A big Thank u to the entire team of FC for making such amazing vids.. Keep them coming.

My 10 year old thought it was really cool and was reminded of another video she saw at school about the voices n sounds in an animation film
