And I was just looking for info on Iyami this morning. I'm grateful for this opportunity.

Its Both ways we must approach IFA. We have to be RAspectful to Traditional ways passed down from the Ancestors and also go within for Guidance from the DNA of yet those same Ancestors. Who know much Better how to answer our thoughts and prayers thru Ritual, Telepathy and Dreams...Ase'

Aboru Abọye Oluwo, the ebook is very intriguing. I enjoyed all the the bits of information and the graphics are nice. Some graphics are straight forward but there is a graphic you used that piques my curiosity. The ratio of stick-women. It changes from 3/9 to 3/10 to 7/10. Lol. Is that because we have no idea just how many women are members of this society of Awon Iyami?? Nice job! can't wait to pre-order my copy to complete my collection of your works. You are a very keen observer! That’s exactly the idea I wanted to convey. We don’t really know if there are a few or if there are multitudes. It’s an unknown quantity.

Aboru aboye abosise. Does your book include the perspective of a representative from the society of Elder women who are the caretakers of the mysteries of Awon Iyami Osoronga? You mention psychologists and IFA priests (include Iyanifas?) but not Gelede specifically. This would really interest me. Thank you sharing your insight.

"Elder women who are the caretakers of the mysteries of Awon Iyami Osoronga" do not identify themselves, lest they lose their standing and power. But there are accounts from a former members. They go into detail about how they were inducted, what they did and what were the outcomes. There is an extensive exploration of Gelede in the book.

With all due respect and thank you for all the work that you are doing! It's amazing the conversation was definitely overdue yet is it is in Divine timing. My question is when you say that you're looking at things from a theological perspective based on actual happenings that have occurred from the motherland and not just something that is theorized or guessed I should say it makes me wonder because it's some point everything was theorized and intuitive I should say or channeled even in the beginning we had to personify the Dynamics of the Iyaami in a way that was palatable and tangible for human beings. So when I hear you say that it feels like as we move into the twenty-first century that there are and that there is channeled information that deserves credibility that is coming through women in particular that is specific to the time. That we are in and some of the issues that we are dealing with in the US and specifically from an African-American perspective. It is a truth that everything is inflow and that nothing is stagnant , based on the energetic frequency that we are in currently on this planet , I would love to hear some feedback on this particular thought process

Baba greetings i have a question, due to conflict of interest. Im Oduduwa descendent in the diáspora however im initiated in Oosala (Obatala) im just entering my 5th year as an initiate however I’ve experienced a spiritual awakening and ive completely repelled against any animal sacrifices in any ritual / ebbo. My question is how can i go forward within this culture that i love dearly, or should i just stay away & renounce to this path in my ancestry ? Thank you for your time & for sharing 🙏 ALAFIA …

I understand your dilemma. Is the sacrifice for you or is it for orisa? If orisa requires a hen in order to bless or protect you, what can you do?

@@ObafemiO Thank you in your replying. & that’s exactly the grounds I stand once you have transcended the mind you are self aware “that thou art “ meaning im that im, therefore im Orisa (Ori - sa) devine consciousness meaning god per say Or Olodumare the name tag is irrelevant for me as for is totality is everything. Meaning only reason why any of this is real to me or to whom it may concern is because we choose to believe it or not. At the end of the day this are all channels talking about the same energy just different forms (names)obviously i cant see the disney channel if im only watching the new on ch7 per say. This is my conflict of interest as to were i feel i can continue a path that is only for the “walking dead” once you awaken your consciousness bypasses all filters persay. My apologies for extending in my message truth is i love this culture i just have to understand i can’t be active anymore. I know its my folksoul that rather i continue vs my path to ascension. Its really a tug of war (expansion vs contraction) once your no longer influenced by the earthly realm it just becomes a big play! I just have to deal with it! So you're saying many babalawos have the knowledge of the subject of Iyami? So it means that only men have the knowledge of Iyami and have you met any Iyanifa with profound knowledge? I'm sure we're out there. Great discussion

Yes, babalawos are the custodians of Ifa. So yes, men are the keepers of said wisdom.Iyanifa? What profound knowledge are suggesting Iyanifa have???
