Im not trying to offend anyone but during my erasmus experience in abroad I have known many French students in the same school with me and they were all racist, praising EU all the time and assuming themselves as the best country in Europe besides underestimating Turkey's geo-political situation in Eurasia. I know not every French is same but I do not have good impression so far.

I agree with your impressions... I got the same impression in the French people I met in the foreign countries where I stayed.They were antipathetic people with a lot of repulsive sides. Of course, this is not a general impression,it's just about the French people I've seen and talked to.

I have been in 20 countries in Europe, the rudest were the French speakers in Brussels. I have been in Strasbourg and Colmar in France, the people were very nice and polite, but they are German ethnicity, not French :)

​@@oguzb.7033 their is no real french or german ethnicity you know. People of both countries have been moving between borders for thousands of years. Under Charlemagne, Germany and France were the same country. From an ethnicity point of view germans and french are pretty much the same.

Merci, Je suis turc et j'adore le peuple français.

Il y a deux ou trois années, je suis allée à Montpellier pour étudier le français avec mon amie. On a eu le problème sur trouver la maison qu'on a hébergé et alors on a voulu l’aide des personnes pour le trouver. Il y avait des beaucoup de personnes ont essayé de trouver l’adresse de la maison, enfin une femme qui était très âgée a trouvé et aidé aussi elle a payé nos billets de bus. Je suis très contente pour ses comportements et aussi les peuples qui j’ai rencontré étaient très gentils et amiables. ☺️

The situation is worse now, we have millions of refugees and we have not been selective like Europe. Anyway we couldn't let them die, we cared about their survival, not their vision, if we didn't we would feel bad forever. There is a lot of immigration in France, but they integrate easily, we have a lot of problems, I hope they integrate. Love to France ☺️

Very interesting for an English lady who speaks French and is trying to learn Turkish .Although the spelling of many French words is written Tuurkish style the pronunciation is the same . Turkish sentence structure is difficult for one who knows mainly Latin based languages but I will keep trying !

I took an Italian course at university I quit when I started learning irregular verbs. Then I went to the French course. I also quit French when I learned that I had to learn feminine and masculine words one by one. In Italian, at least we were getting whether it was masculine or feminine from the last letter. :D

I just watched the easy french video which took me here lol indeed the turkish language has absolutely no arabic sound! I have seen a lot of reports about turkey and it is a country that I dream of visiting, the turks always look cool and welcoming. I have known a few Turks here in France and always nice and open people.

spanish influenced by arabic since arabs conquered iberian peninsula and stayed there for like almost thousand years, but not french. plus both arabic and french considered as love languages so maybe thats why you think theyre similar but other than that theyre far diffrent

I enjoy listening Occitan and Breton languages in France that are disappearing. They sound pleasant. I love the old troubadours of Occitan language. Unfortunately it is severely suppressed by French-langue d'oil. The French guttural "R" does NOT sound too appetizing to me. Paris is full of kitschy Hausman type buildings. Not much variety architecturally! The polluted waters of Seine river sound romantic to some humans? These are cliches with heck a lot of kitsch!

French is for me the most beautiful language in the world

As a Turk who doesn't know French, I can understand a good amount of words when I hear it since we also adapted them with our Alphabet Revolution. The way we pronounce these words are almost identical as well!

Are you aware? Young people's perceptions of France are usually shaped by movies, perfumes, music and literature... When they say France, they mean Paris.And Paris is just the Eiffel Tower... -:))) The French have already been spreading propaganda for many years to create such a perception. No one talks about their other cities, towns, daily life on video.. So our general interest in their real life and the country is rather weak. The middle-aged and the elderly Turks have more information about France. Personally I don't feel any sympathy for France and for French . I prefer to add Spanish to the foreign languages I speak.

Genelde 1. yabancı dil ingilizce oluyor. 2. yabancı dil ise almanca,fransızca,ispanyolca veya italyanca oluyor. Özellikle İstanbul'da fransızca olarak 2. yabancı dil veren çok okul var. Fransız okulları da var yine. Bazı okullarda ingilizceden bile ağırlıklı olabiliyor dersler. Sadece bizim ilçede bile almanca,fransızca veya ispanyolca dersi veren okullar vardı. Yaşadığım ilçe İstanbul merkezinde bile değil.

Cezayirde yaptıkları katliamı unutmadık. Üstelik bunlar Türklerle(Osmanlı) de savaştılar. Bu sömürgecilere bu kadar sempati beslenilmesi bence bizi şaşırtmalı

Tarih bilmediğin nasıl da ortada ama , osmanlı ile diğer avrupa ülkelerine nazaran en çok fransa ittifak halinde idi , işgal yıllarında müttefik kuvvetler ile birlikte Türkiye topraklarına işgale girişmişlerse bile , ingilizlerden gördükleri kötü muamele ile istanbulda kendi tuttukları bölgelerden , Türklerin kurtuluş savaşı için cephane kaçırmalarına gayet yardım ettiler , hayran olmanın alemi yok ama tarihi boyutta konuşacak isek bunlarıda bilmeni tavsiye ederim.

@@YARLIG profesör değilim belki ama yeterince tarih biliyorum, cezayiri işgal ettiklerini, napolyonun Mısır'a saldırdığını, Gaziantep'te(maraşta olabilir tam emin değilim) insanları aç bıraktıklarını biliyorum. Kapitülasyonlarla bizi sömürdüklerini de biliyorum. Sen daha kolay affedebilirsin ne güzel ama ben senin kadar kolay affedemiyorum

Gençler Fransa denince Paris'i anlıyorlar.Paris denince de Eyfel kulesi ve civarı...Parfüm,filmler, müzik ve Türkiye'deki Fransız okullarından yetişmiş bazı insanların geçmişte çevirisini yaptığı romanlar. Orta yaşlı ve yaşlı kuşaktan Türkler, fransa konusunda daha geniş ve detaylı bilgiye sahipler.

Yavaş bir ülke? Romantizm? O insanlar Fransayı gerçekten bilmiyormuşlar :D

Evet Fransız propagandaları hep Paris'ten ve Eyfel Kulesinden söz eder.Aşk filmleri,müzik,parfüm de bu propagandaların içindedir. Daha fazlasını bilmemiz için bir sebep var mı?
