@@Jenni-Martikainen i am from India. We don't have such salad bars here. And salads r expensive here. So can't enjoy them as much as i like. Unless i am making it at home.

@@Jenni-MartikainenHere is another Finn who also loves salads and salad buffets! 😁🇫🇮
It looks like the windjammer Cafe without the windows
thanks for the vid
When the cost of the food is mostly procurement and logistics, spending that little bit of extra on making it really good makes a lot of sense, because happy crew members do better work.
love your videos
What is the average wage for a crew member? Is payment weekly, monthly etc Really enjoying your videos.
Looks excellent
Looks amazing. 😁
Do you pay for your meals or is it included in your pay?

Pay is less than min wage because they provide room/board/food/laundry.
I've been on a cruise. Most of the crew wasn't from the U.S. Not that it mattered. I wouldn't have minded crew food. The lines above deck were always long.
my uncle was working at the kitchen for a cruise before and now for a cargoship. The food they make for the crew is pretty similar for both types of ship.
Looks really good!
Crew get the leftovers from the guest buffet.

That's what I was thinking. Come to think of it, this is probably why we're seeing more vids like this. A lot of cruises are still under-booked, but they're buying just as much food.
Looks pretty good!!
Looks great
Very fresh and good food very lovely!!
This looks exactly like a mine site mess in Australia.
Fun!
I’m hungry 😅that salad bar has my name on it
I'm pretty sure you're not a crew, you're more of like a staff. Regular crews aren't allowed to eat at the buffet, only during crew day.
This is the best argument for working on a cruise ship I’ve ever seen 😂🍴

Looks darn good.yes ❤️🙏
Oh my, i would live in the salad section and meat and cheese..... Yummmmmmy! Thanks
That looks great 👍 👌 especially while I'm so hungry lol.
Looking very nice for the crew.
oh man... why did I click on this? I'm so hungry and don't really want to fix what we have in the house. I have "fried rice" riced cauliflower, but pad Thai sounds awesome. I've got bagel with cream cheese & lox, I could bake a potato with all the toppings... I'd LOVE a fresh fruit plate!

Store-bought frozen fruit and ziplock bags.
i remember my aunt told a story of her working on a big boat for a few months and got sick of the food cause they've been eating only curry for the last few months cause the ships chef was indian lmao
Looks so nice
Not typical that’s for sure
I worked at a Westin in the Caribbean and the staff food was whatever was going bad in the fridge, cooked up into a goop and served. Classy place!
I still find it hard to believe just how much these ships can hold… between all the food for all the guests and workers, and even just down to the amount of fresh water these ships can hold. Imagine enough water to VERY comfortably suit thousands of people. Do they use the machines that convert salt water to fresh water, or is it one massive holding tank?! Anyone have the answer?

The more modern ships do make their own yeah.
"Fresh" this and "Fresh" that, hahaha who do you think youre kidding lol
Omg now I'm starving, lol 😆
I be happy working there!!
I'm not a dessert person. I eat cake as a starter! 😉
Beautiful like 5 star restaurant
Nice!!!🎉🎉🎉💫
it's like those mining towns where you're paid in company credits and you shop at the company store and live in the company town... reminds me of that...
I did not expect this
Looks good
The best in dessert 🍨 🥧 🍦.
Is that the Staff mess? It doesn't look like the mess where rating crew would eat
Omg! I wish we were fed like that in the mines! Wow, looks delicious!
Looks so yummy
Yummy colors
Can you show us the lunch and dinner buffet... Is it 24 hours? Can you also show the buffet at 00:00 hour.
Raisins!!! 😂
The crew has crew has crew it’s just crew all the way down like a Russian doll.
Looks like yall eat VERY well
Little did he know... those desserts are all the ones people have sneezed on/kids with booger fingers have touched and the cruise line refuses to serve to guests
Those desserts looks delicious but damn .. I feel bad for the dishwasher 😂
Wow, looks so much better than what Jordan Bauth Gets in her mess hall.
I imagine it is a lot like being a casino employee. The staff meal looks fabulous, even though it's all leftover stuff that sat aht for a few hours for the guests first.
My inner pig would come out.

Ya'll making me hungry!
Cruise ships have an obscenely high food poisoning rate because of the temperatures/food served in these buffet-style arrangements, left out for long periods, inadequate waste disposal and conditions in the kitchens. Huge amounts of sugar and salt are used to try and offset the risk of the food spoiling. You might think this looks pretty but scratch beneath the surface... Also all of that fruit looks underripe.
Damn looks like customers have nicer spreads
yall eat like kings
But does the crew's crew have a crew to cook for them?
What happens to the leftovers? Do they reuse them for later/next food service? Or do they throw it away?
Use to work in star cruise The food is okay, I tend to make my own sandwich almost of the time
It looks like the Windjammer menu
Not a dessert person. That hurt my feelings 😂
Reminds me of a prison when the inspectors are in town and they roll out the best food. Only in this case it’s pretty boy is making a video on cruise food with the lines blessing so they roll out the best buffet.
They treat you so good 👍😊
Making me hungry!!!
