Oversimplified history of German nationals. To the extent that it is false at many details. For example the slavs entered the Germanic homeland in the 6th century. The Germans have a long history of cohabitation. In Czechoslovakia they have been the second largest ethnic group, larger than the Slovaks. Calling them settlers is definitely false. Also the term Sudetenland is coined by the Munich agreement, not based on an existing region. Ethnonationalism is a way of thinking of the time of Napoleon and did not make sense before for the various empires and states. But the German national idea is that Germany is the land where the Germans live. That does not include the various parts where Germans settled, like Transylvania, Banat or the Wolga Republic. Greater Germany refers to Austria as it was excluded in 1871.
United States speedrun basically. Whereas it took the USA about 200 years to colonize the West, Germany planned on colonizing the East in about 50.

They cared more about their historical significance than their actual value, but that should only be said about the Russo-Finnish Territories. On the other hand, Norway's western ambitions is where the actual economic value comes. They wanted to reach full control over the North Sea, thus you see they claimed Iceland, Greenland, the Feroes, even the Shetlands. These lands may sound obscure, uninhabited and useless, but the one who controls them controls an entire sea that surrounds them. I am not pro-Russia or Russian invasion before anyone tries me here, this is just established fact. Examples: 22 June 1941 - 140 Pograms broke out killing 1500-3500 Jewish civilians, and in Volhynia, it is established fact that he massacred polish civilians. This is just the start. I understand he is an important figure to the foundation of modern Ukraine, but Andrew Jackson too is an important figure to the USA, and it would be historically irresponsible to deny the Trail of Tears.

Post war propaganda, note that they wanted to annex the majority German areas (many separated by the ww1 treaty). The main prove of that is that Germany, tried peace 14 times during the war (even throwing fliers over London proposing peace, look for “the last appeal for reason”) but the allies didn’t accept and didn’t allow this information to go public. ,
There's actually a funny story of this. Himmler who wanted to create more SS divisions wanted to make divisions from the Baltics, Russians, Ukrainians, etc. He said that they are Aryan because they have some "Aryan spirit" (It really is some weird stuff). Then lets say for example, there is a squad for 4 Latvians. Out of the four, three died in battle. Himmler would say that the other three "Aryan spirit" would transfer over to the fourth person, giving him full Aryan. (It is completely nonsense and dumb). This is where I got it. Agreed! Great video, but completely missed the Black Sea Germans and Mennonites of Ukraine. There were 1 million Germans living there since the Cossack clearances by Catherine the Great in the late 1700s. Germans were invited to settle en masse and farm the land with guarantees of religious freedom, tax emption, and conscription exemption. They lived there for almost 200 years. During Operation Barbarossa they were recruited into the Wehrmacht, SS, and self defense militias. They spoke Russian, had previous military experience in the Red Army, and were resentful of the Soviets. Prior to WW2, the Communists had confiscated their lands, imprisoned them in labour camps and gulags, equally suffered the Holodomor with Ukrainians, and were heavily targeted via de-kulakization and the Great Purge. During the USSR’s counter offensive in the East, the Nazis uprooted them under the Heim ins Reich program to Poland. Some made it to West Germany after the war, then onward to the Great Plains of the US and the Prairies of Canada. Those trapped behind Soviet lines were forcibly deported to Central Asian republics like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, the German government granted Soviet Germans the right to citizenship.
great video, but why did you erase the Polish corridor to the Baltic? that area was annexed by Germany not until September 1939, after the invasion of Poland.
If you decide to do a part 2, one concept I think you should look into is the Greater Germanic Reich, and how they may have invaded Sweden. Another concept should be the Mittelafrika, and how Germany would structure Africa. And another concept should be what they would’ve done with Spain, Portugal, Iran, Turkey, and Afghanistan, since they weren’t under the effective sphere of influence. And lastly, if they had plans for continents outside the Afro-Eurasian landmass, and what they may have done with them. Those are just some suggestions.

Germany probably did at first want South Africa to remain part of Britain so that they can be a reliable ally, but Germany’s Mittelafrika claimed parts of Britain, and so did Italy. Japan also wanted British territory in East Asia, so even if Germany never really wanted to claim their territory, it’s likely since other countries wanted them, Germany would see no point in keeping the British Empire intact, and would allow South Africa to be independent. If that were the case, then they would’ve probably decided to unite Britain in the Greater Germanic Reich. And with Spain and Portugal, I’m not too sure about them uniting, as they had nationalist governments that likely wouldn’t be fond of taking their identity, but Germany may have wanted them to unite to create a strong ally.

It's worth noting to elaborate your point - the entire concept of the Holocaust and related extermination campaigns was just a more "active eugenics" program that mirrored other western countries conducting their own Eugenics programs like in the USA. The difference between the US's program vs Germany's was that the US was content with Passive Eugenics; sterilization and patiently wait out the time period in which a group of people would "naturally" be rendered extinct by virtue of aging, dying and unable to reproduce. The Nazis took a more active and impatient program of direct eugenics - systemically murdering vast swathes of populations rapidly exterminating people in years, not decades.

We call ourselves "magyar" in our own language, but we are called "hungarians"in English. It's that simple...

@@ShadowDragon1848 English is the lingua franca of our time, so they don't need to learn a second language and the result is that we get shit like this. My biggest gripe with the mispronunciation of the word 'Volk' is when Nationalists on the alternative right use it. Both languages have the same word which is pronounced exactly the same, but written slightly different, and yet they manage to mis-pronounce it. Another thing I've noticed is that people have started to say 'woman' instead of 'women'. This is worse since it's a grammatical error of their own language.
The black-&-yellow flag you sketched for the Kingdom of Bohemia is wrong (that was an unofficial flag bearing the imperial colours of Holy Roman Empire and then of the army of the Austrian Empire). The colours of the Kingdom of Bohemia were white-&-red.

Germany didn't declare war on anyone besides Poland, it was the allies who intervened by declaring on Germany, resulting in the world war. And yes Germany did declare war on other nations later on but that was out of necessity. The combined resources and manpower of the allies could dwarf anything they axis had access to within their own borders.

Goebbels in 1933 designated the Armenians as "Aryans." Alfred Rosenberg, the German Minister of the Occupied East, was the head of the Eastern Institute from 1926 to 1936. Artashes appointed Abegyan to form a committee to study the anthropology and history of the Armenians. In 1934, Artashes, Abegyan and Paul Rohrbach published a book entitled "Aryan Armenians in cooperation with Nazi intellectuals." In this book, it is stated that Armenians and the Armenian language are of Aryan origin. Five months after the committee was formed in 1934, Rosenberg presented Hitler with a report stating that Armenians were of Aryan descent.

The short version is that it's a little too perfect, where the Nazis were careful about what they recorded otherwise and in not making outright statements. I can believe that he looked down on Armenians though. German opinion was not favourable towards Armenia during or after WW1. You can look at the trial of Talaat Pasha's assasin for a vivid exampled. German newspapers were consistently in favour of the deceased and distinctly muted at the end of the trial, regularly referring to him as 'Turkish Bismarck'.

Rest of the "corridor" was inhabited by Kashubians (which identified as Poles) and Kociewians (also Poles), Germans were minority in those regions. Eventually Hitler even resigned from the corridor (wanting only to build exteritorial road from Germany to Prussia), but main issue was the city of Gdańsk. In 1939 Hitler knew that Poland won't accept his demands, but if polish diplomats would accept such propositions in previous negotiations Germans wouldn't annex the corridor - Poland would become German ally like Romania or Hungary

As a clue to how wildly visions of future German possessions and of who is or isn't Aryan varied, Alfred Rosenberg in The Myth of the Twentieth Century considered Russians Aryan. A lot of actual divisions if the Germans won would depend on pragmatism as it always does in conquests and geopolitics in general. Also, as for some nations speaking an Indo-European language but not being considered Aryan, it can be attributed to mixing with other groups, but also to the view that the people there have been degenerated or corrupted in some way.

Wow, this video brought me a terrifying realisation. Whenever I come into contact with such nazi plans I get terrified and think 'well, fortunately they got defeated'. But here we see how hitler talked about all of his plans of domination and genocide as just another chapter of the story of the domain of europeans over the world, and nothing like the special case of racial hatred as we tend to see nowadays. He took lessons from what british did in india, what americans did to native americans and blacks, and compared the genocide of jewish to that of armenians. We kinda didn't avoid the horrors of nazi plans, on the opposite, we are living into the world that inspired him. Imagine if they had won and executed their plans. They would have managed to largely erase from history most of what they would have done to the peoples of east europe as americans and british did. What wouldn't be erased, maybe would be told in history lessons as simply the necessary path that lead to the construction of the german reich. Think of all the horrors that we know today the nazis did and what they would still have done, all of that would be forgotten. Now think that maybe this is the untold history of the suffering of the peoples of africa, america and asia that didn't survive because in our timeline USA, British, France, etc were the victors.
