I just wanna say that hours of watching these videos subconsciously taught me how to break a fish down and ended up being very helpful when I went to Pohnpei in the Pacific for research. We went out with our friend on our day off and caught a bunch of yellowfin and mahi mahi (I have never fished out in the ocean on a boat before), and he let us keep 2. My years of watching this channel out of pure entertainment and I was able to cut it up (very roughly for a first time) back at the house! So thanks for that lol
That one brah that caught the GT was all about the help and smiles. Nice!

Villi is the best!
Man you can just tell Villi is such a good dude, awesome episode!
It's so great that whether you're Japanese, Indonesian, Polynesian, or Micronesian, there is a culture of using every part of the fish. I get so sick of fishing channels where the heads and collars are tossed away like garbage - such disrespect for the ocean.

Beautiful land!
Taku, you should consider renting some motorcycles, and then you and Jocelyn could pack some telescopic rods and do a catch & cook.
Never knew you could fry them breadfruit, learned something today 🤔. I miss them breadfruit cooked with coconut milk and onions.
Another way to prep and eat breadfruit. Throw them on the fire skin on and get them charred then get some butter and eat them together🤙🏾.
Malo Taku. It’s called Ulua in Hawaii and Malauli in Samoa. Manuia!
It’s kind of rare to catch the “Kagami” especially with the long trailing fragile fins. Would be awesome to gyotaku it. Congrats
10:58, nice Kagami! I think they call them African pampano and diamond travelly in other parts of the world. You could actually see them next to the shore when you thought they were omilus. Awesome strike and way to land it from shore! Such a beautiful fish!

African Pompano in the Caribbean for sure.
Can’t wait to go back home in Faleaseela. Been away for 14 years now.. out here slaying Uluas in Hawaii now😊. Definitely going to try out those spots when I go back Samoa lol. Taking VILI with me.
Also I visited Samoa en route to Kanton Atoll in 2015. Beautiful spot. Didn't mind the Vailima! Wonder what happened to our deckhand, Taula. He'd get all excited and call bluefin trevally Bluvalley!
Malo uso Taku fa'afetai for bringing our culture to light. Loving this series uso 🤙🏽
We called the. African Pompano. Great catch.
🌴Yes a fishing vid , Taku filleting and one of the boys chasing fly’s it’s a sushi masters dream , it’s a tuff job but somebody’s gotta do it! 😂
Taku look up Joe Olivas wwj whipping with Joe. Mean GT action and all kine on Kauai
Coconut water is the best natural electrolytes and they’re everywhere…stay hydrated 🍻 Looks like an African Pompano or Threadfin Trevally
Taku,... afrom filmmaker and fisherman who films himself fishing also... Get the DJI Action 4. . . No overheating. You're welcome.
The overheat is so relatable, thats why I have a mini umbrella for my phone while filming 😂🤣☂️

Malo Taku. Cheering for you when that fish was on.
In Jamaica, they roast breadfruit over a fire, let it cool, peel it and then shallow fry it in oil and sprinkle with salt. It’s so good.

Itd be dope if you hosted Catch and Cook expeditions/camps. I’d sign up.
Taku! You should check out getting a Okuma Makaira for these adventures its is one of the toughest spinning reels on the market.
HEY!!! You caught a giant Trevally. My dad caught one of those off the beach on Guam one night, over 3 feet long.. still have the picture.

Just for some information, Kagami is the species, the word Ulua refers to any of the trevally species that exceed 10lbs in weight. Smaller ones are called Papio. Nice fish!

When you know you are going to somewhere so hot, think about calling Torras for one of their neck air conditioners. Not just a neck fan, but actual a/c that cools your blood and thus your body, works better than you could imagine :)
Epic video with a great bunch of people, brilliant cooking as usual. Keep it coming 💜 from 🇦🇺

Great content Taku! Have you tried using a portable powerbank for the gopro? It helps with overheating when you don't run batteries inside the camera.
