good, the prick
There were three groups of people who got suckered by FTX and SBF: Those who were greedy, those who were arrogant, and those who were gullible (and perhaps downright stupid). Kevin O'Leary embodies all three.
I met Kevin while covering a wine event at the LCBO for a wine blog. (Clarification edit: up here in Canada, he has his own wine label.) On the one hand, he was typically polite to a fault Canadian. On the other, he had a young entourage around him and they were both clearly there desperate for his acceptance and to stroke his ego. He confided in me that he is actually contracted to be Shark Tank's bad guy version of Simon Cowell because they realized when setting up the show that he's the best one for the role. I think people feel he is getting his deserved comeuppance because of his performance on the show. The truth is, he is just one of many who got caught up with the imaginary FTX windfall who should have known better. Unfortunately for him, he is the most visibly public of the victims. If you want to hand out dunce caps, however, he's hardly the only person deserving of one when it comes to FTX. How Sam and Caroline aren't sitting in jail already is beyond me.
@briankearn6991

He was their bad guy because that’s what he is, it’s natural for him. His selling to Mattel was the worst in history, look it up. O’Leary funds was a scam, he didn’t even have a license to trade and changed clients fees after he said he wouldn’t, then shut it down after his licensed trader left. Look it up. I tasted his wines in a blind tasting for a menu I designed, they were all made from the cheapest grapes available.

@DjapDude11111 Allow me to explain it to you by correctly using words. Understand that on a finite planet such as Earth, there are limited resources. The amount of money you have is a tally of the share of global resources that you control. The 85 wealthiest people in the world combined have as much wealth as the poorest 3 billion. Human families need resources to survive. People like Kevin O'Leary are hoarding the wealth, or share of global resources, that a billion families need in order to survive in the modern world without undue hardship. Therefore, seeing someone like Kevin O'Leary lose a bunch of money is a win for humanity.

I am experiencing a great deal of joy from watching Kevin and his crypto bros lose big blocks of cash. I invested in safe stocks at moderate return rates, reinvested my dividends, and am currently at about the same point I was in December of last year.
Spot on! You are getting good at being ahead of the trend. Good job man! You nailed it. Many people have lost their life savings as FTX fall but not me as I was warned by my crypto advisor Marnell English of the imminent doom that was about to happen, I was able to transfer my profits of 13 bitcoin before they stop all transactions form FTX. I always say this there are different ways of earning profits in crypto market but most people believe in buying and hold for a long term, me on the other hand divide my portfolio in 2, 1/2 is to hold and the other 1/2 is for trading, using accurate signals from my advisor I have profited multiple times therefore adding more coin to my cold wallet. I also advise my friends to stop holding your coin in exchanges they gamble with your coin.

K was paid 15,000,000 by FTX as promoter. I bet his agreement w FTX required him invested appox 10 million in FTX. My guess is he held back 5 million to pay income taxes. His net loss is appox 0. K doesn’t want FTX to be found guilty of fraud. If FTX is found guilty of fraud the court could claw back the 15 million and K could be held liable. This is not about K saving the crypto industry this is about K saving himself.

Apparently, banks has been awarded bail set for $250m... yeah, let that sink in. Where is that coming from?.
In fact he portrays himself as very financially knowledgeable, yet was duped by an immature kid and with Billions at stake and praised him as a genius while taking 15 M in fees for his shill work. Not doing any due diligence, while he spread the lie and became a key player for many in the Scam. Shame on you Kevin O'Leary that was not wonderful.
Yes hand moving is the best description
So richly deserved. Well done.
Finaly someone gets it right . Love the video . Why can the world see that SBF created a house of cards using others money as his own personal piggy bank but his spokesman seems to have other excuses for the collapse
The money Kevin O Leary lost was the 15 million paid to him by SBF and FTX to be a spokesperson which he then invested 10 million of that back into FTT coins..So he really didn’t lose his money he lost money that was stolen from FTX customers and paid to him so he would back FTX..He is FOS and more than likely will be investigated at some point.
FTX paid him 15 million. He lost 11 million. He is up 4 million. Not too shabby.
How many of you have ever experienced those 5 stages of grief? Because ive heard about it multiple times, but i have never experienced that. For me i go only from "okay it happened, that sucks" to " can i do something about it?" And then move on. Ive never experienced grief in the way people explain it somehow. Honestly few things are switched in my brain it seems, to dangerous situations, my brain responds with amusement and generally, i don't really experience fear either. Only times when i kinda feel bad/awkward about it, is when people around me are crying, and i cant even squeeze tears from me and i have to pretend that i feel sad as they do, because otherwise i feel like it makes me look like a sociopath. I feel that its bad that those things happened, im really not emotionless, but its mostly like "that sucks, but sh.t happens", but i dont have denial phase and I had to learn to look sad. Im usually overly happy, and i never experienced any depression or some sadness that would last more than few minutes.

Obsession of money the root of all evil. Maybe when the man dies he will want the money thrown in the coffin.
A reminder that having lots of money does not mean having high intelligence. A lot of billionaires are truly morons and puppets who get controlled by greed at every step of the way.

fraudulent money received should be returned ( basic law )
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 On top of being hilarious, it's a great real-life example lesson in psychology!!
Apparently, he only lost the money that he received for his endorsements. Did he really invest anymore beyond that?
Dear derek, You should take a look at citadel the market maker and citadel the hedgefund. They seem to do the same like SBF but on the "regulated" financial markets. They also have a very generous billionaire owner ;)
He’s keeping the $15m though
Kevin, it's not your money, it's our money
SBF gave him 15million he lost 11million still gained 4milliom which he should give back because it was customers money
I don’t see denial?
He still got 5m for speaking up for the SBF scam
He wants his $ back. How adorable. It’s RISK mister investor-business man. Risk.
He must pay that 15M back, he was part of the scam. You take money from bank robbers for letting them use your car, and overnight in your garage, they pull bundles of cash from a bag, hand it to you, and say that is for your trouble, then when the cops come say. "well I was paid for a service, I got a 100 Grand for lending my car it's a lot, but why ask questions, I like money.
Some ppl so greedy
So when Kevin was "paid" 15 million to be a spokesman, was he paid in dollars or crypto ??
Im not a pundit about crypto or investing anything? But even I wonder: “Why would I invest in something intangible?” That “crypto cyber space” stuff just never resounded as true to me. So after hearing all this I’m not surprised

Investor and Kev's money still exists. It went to sellers of FTT who got out. It will be interesting if Madoff claw back can be accomplished here.
Who’s going to play these people in the movie?
Kevin O'Leary tried to become leader of Conservative Party in Canada, which means he tried to become Prime Minister of Canada. A big problem is he didn't speak French.
He probably lost 10 x what he admitted to.
Doesn't Kevin O'Leary run a hedge fund? There are certain things he will or will not say in public. His public statements may not be sufficient data to analyze the stages of grief.
He lost nothing. He put the money FTX gave him and put it into FTX. That’s all.
I mean he has $400M net worth and was paid $15M by ftx to shill but allegedly he put some money back into it. It begs the question did they paid him $15M and he just put it back in or did he put $15M plus another $15M+? I mean what's $15M to him you know unless he got more into it than he like to admit. Or perhaps hes just trying to salvage his reputation but it seems more about the money than anything
That "5 stages of grief" thing is for losers... You gotta treat unwanted circumstances like a Mafia Capo treats a prosecutors allegations. Deny them all, and deny them forever. Period.
He got 15 mil for being a spokesman for FTX and lost 9 of that , he still got 6 mil of that . So he got 6 mil for being a spokesman . Boo hoo , didnt even loose his own money .
I hope his other stakes are in Meta and Tesla.
He was lured by the sloppy shirt and shorts. He was used to seeing cons and pyramid scheemers all wearing suits and tie talking a big talk. SBF pulled on his hear string I'm sure dropped a few banana comparisons and Kevin just couldn't break the spell of this special gem he thought he had found. He probably dreamt he could become his friend and ultimately business partner, maybe even move to the Bahamas too! In the end I hope he gets to keep his FTX shirt as a reminder of a wonderful trusting American young man born from 2 well educated , and connected parents , that help him discover the wonders of getting in on the ground floor a multi billion dollar endeavor.
He was paid 15 million , he lost 15 million.. that’s called breaking even Kevin
It's about his reputation not his money.
Wolf does not get to investigate the Sheep
Ask Tom Brady where your money went Kevin! 🤣 Hmmm...interesting that Tom Brady is going through a divorce at the same time as this FTX implosion!
