This happened to me last year, I had a blighted ovum and always wondered why it happened i was only 22 at the time it took me about 2 years to finally get pregnant; I got pregnant last year again 6 months later and now I’m 28 weeks pregnant with a strong healthy baby boy. I’m so happy! But also sad about what could’ve been, I’ll never forget that miscarriage and taking the pill it was pretty traumatic. But I’m glad i can finally say I’m becoming a mom.

I had 7 recurrent pregnancy loss .... I have normal hormonal level tsh , prolactin,hba1c ...all are normal. Our karyotyping also normal ....at last we do icsi with pgta ...pgta normal embryo transfered ...bt that also ended in miscarriage...my uterus normal ....apla ,acla ,ANA all become normal ....now i test protein c that is high 170 ...plz share what to do Im totally upset

I've had 4 anembryonic pregnancies. Currently 5 wks 3 days now. I have my 1st ultrasound next week. I am so nervous. We do IUI's at a fertility clinic. I still have not gotten a clear answer as to why all of my pregnancies have been anembryonic. I pray this one is not.

Ughhh, I am so sorry you have gone through four of these. I am sending baby dust your way as you take on the long wait until the ultrasound appointment. I just hate how they drag out and they really took a lot out of me emotionally and in my relationships. My pregnancy mantra to make it to the next day: As far as I know, this pregnancy is going well. New pregnancy, new outcome.

My wife faced it almost a week ago such .so traumatic.i feel no one should have it

I just found out 2day, i would of been 12 weeks 2mo, had my 1st dating scan today, with no baby in sac, i took the pill this morning,so just waiting for the miscarriage to happen, i no its goin to be emotional, my 1st pregnancy was fine ,is this because of age had my 1st at 36, now 39, im in the uk & having to wait so long for the scan is bad , would of been easier if it was earlier,as its more of the morning of what could of been x

I had a blighted ovum Test positive but no baby it was painful as my body showed signs of pregnancy even gain weight was an unexpected pregnancy .. i had blighted pregnancies in the past I paid privately to see an consultant who instructed me to take 75 mg of junior aspirin the consultant told me this is no guarantee it will work but give it a go I was very fortunate it worked after that I went on to have two healthy babies if I had of had junior aspirin in my system I would of form a baby but because my last pregnancy was unexpected nothing could be done for us at the time..but count myself fortunate I have now two beautiful adult children..I also had two still births.. my thoughts and love going out to all woman who are having difficulties❤🙏 I didn’t give up but it was a Long heartbreaking painful road..

U took junior aspirin after u miscarry d blighted ovum For the preparation of next pregnancy?

Found out about ours this week.. we saw the baby and the heartbeat on the first ultrasound (6 weeks) and on the second one, just an empty sack (10-11 weeks)

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it can be such a shock.

My case. We had to accelerate the abortion because I had no more symptoms of pregnancy. The pain. I'll have nightmares with that pain. But I won't give up, I'll get my child however the cost is.

What's the latest week of pregnancy you can tell you have a blighted ovum? At my 6 weeks, my doctor said to do scan again after 2 weeks because we only saw a gestational sac

Im on the same boat rn.. im supposed to be 7 weeks but only see a sac that measures 5 weeks dr said to come back in two weeks to see if it grows.. tell me how yours goes🥹

Hi@@lanabreezy3067 , don't lose hope and be healthy/eat healthily and of course, PRAY. My doc had me continuously take dydrogesterone 3x a day and insert legestro 200 mg twice a day to prevent bleeding. I had my 3rd scan (both transvaginal and pelvic scan last 04/29 and we finally saw our so tiny embryo with a heartbeat 🙏 Thanks to our Lord Jesus!

My wife just had this same thing happen yesterday. We’re hoping for a miracle in two weeks.

So pregnancy test doesn't guaranteed that i am pregnant doc?because after the ultrasound the doctor declared that i have a blighted ovum but still my pt is positive.

If you did the ultrasound and the doctor said it was a blighted ovum then you are not pregnant even if the test says positive. The reason why you have a positive is because you still have the sac. once they give you the pill to remove the sac you will have a negative test. I’m sorry about what you’re going through, I hope you’re ok.

If you haven't already made an appointment with an OB/GYN, that's the best starting place. They can utilize blood work and ultrasound to help determine if the miscarriage is complete.

It was a painful experience

I had 3 blighted ovum and miscarriages.😭

Doctors typically use a variety of tests- serial ultrasounds and/or HCG monitoring to determine whether the miscarriage is complete. If you have concerns or questions, definitely speak with your doctor.
