Oh yes, the Tornado is certainly one of the most exhilarating boats ever designed!

The 15 is a seriously underrated cat

I see the Dragoon lost its spinnaker a while ago (a long while - that was in the time of the bags on the trampoline). I remember a grownup sailing it single-handed saying "Funny boat, each time you go forward to pack the spinnaker into the bag, you pitchpole". Nothing against the boat, when you can do proper weight trim all is well.

Nice selection! Thinking of visiting Wildwind sometime. I'd grab that C2 in a blink, and any foiling cat you care to add to the lineup. Some ideas for cats to add to the lineup - Nacra 17 with C or FCS foils - Whisper, Stunt or iFly - a T-foils-with-wands foiler - Nacra 15 FCS - slightly less bitey than a Nacra 17 :-)

Yes, we'd love to add a foiler but unfortunately the cost is too high at the moment. The C2 is certainly the Hot-rod of the fleet!!

An iFly15 foiler would be nice, but he wants about 30,000 Euros for that. Foiling at force 2-3 - surely great, but for club service a fully carbon built boat is probably too critcal.

@@JoyriderTV I love my getaway but on a personal note with the high winds you have over there the plastic getaway would fatigue and crack eventually, I know, I've been through 3 hulls, this is really the only drawback to this boat. Plus i wouldn't bother with the wings, they slow the boat down too much. You already technically have a getaway in the hobie pacific. What about the hobie pearl? Cheers from Tasmania!

What makes the 14 so difficult? Isn't it easier to right than the heavier boats? Is there any helping accessories for righting on the FX One?

It's the low volume hulls that are the main thing that makes it more challenging

We used to have Hobie 20 formulas - that's the European version with small trapezius wings - a great boat to sail but we eventually had to let them go.
