if you are the real Digital Dreams Entertainment, i want to take the oportunity to say, i think the Carnivoress: Dino Hunter is awesome game, y bought the pc version (2015) and it only takes 10.5 hours to complete the game (full equipment, licenses and achievements) i think you have a wonderfull game full, of pontential, you just have to add more dinosaurs, maps, and weapon, if you want to add a new game mode i will really apreciate it (like challenges) PD. i still play the old carnivores because have more dinosaurs and maps. PD2: i will buy a DLC with more content if you launch it

@@SaurianTarget Bro this is 2021 and we have UFOs all over the news. They are trying to communicate subtly, open world modern games need physics for vegetation. The bush shouldnt be clipping with the flying dinosaur in the "enhanced" edition at all. I understand a handheld, but at the top end, what are developers doing.

Beyond just bug fixes and adding more content, I'd love to see the roster potentially expand past even just the typical lineup seen in these games. Every time I wander through the wetland areas on the various maps, I can't help but imagine a prehistoric crocodilian sulking in the pools, or archaeopteryx darting through the larger trees in more densely forested areas.

@@SaurianTarget The other game its based on uses DX9. That means we can a.i. upscale the textures using Gigapixel which lately the updates for quality are truly next dimensional excellence. Texmod. Someone just has to step up. Im busy with step 1. Not step 2. Eventually I might for scientific purposes breach microsofts annoying security. I have no respect for it like I have no respect for the early Metro series where the devs outright force FXAA and stacked minor supersampling so they can call it analytical anti aliasing. The real reason is they know they shouldnt be using that horse sht, let alone forcing people to run a wiss filter over their multimillion dollar art. Its a true disservice to the future where people have far more powerful hardware.

I dont understand why they couldn't reskin/resize and tweak some characteristics. Why not have a tabosaur based on the TRex or add a finger and call it an allosaurs or one of 1000s of other dinosaurs. Seems like pretty low effort but a welcome addition.

Another great video, I forgot that dinos were locked behind certain maps so being able to hunt all 6 on any map at any time of day alone makes it sound like a proper upgrade, especially with the improved AI.

Honestly, it’s worth the price of admission for that feature alone IMO

I paid for the game just to support the devs in hopes that they will eventually make enough profit to update and patch the game. Also because Xbox misses out on literally everything so I take what I can get

In addition to more dinosaurs (specifically carnivores) to hunt, more maps to hunt on, and more weapons to hunt with, I'd personally like to see the fog levels also get some rain, thunder, and lightning added to them. I think it would add even more atmosphere to those levels. Imagine hunting in the fog and rain in the Great Forest. Suddenly, in a flash of lightning, a T-Rex suddenly appears from the fog, charging at you, its terrifying roar accompanied by a loud boom of thunder! Panicked by fear, you raise your weapon to shoot, but it's too late! In one swift motion, it grabs you in its jaws and swallows you whole! So, in my opinion, I think rain, thunder, and lightning would make great additions to fog levels to increase the atmosphere and tension. What say you?

I fully agree! I’m actually talking about that very idea in a wishlist video in a few days!

I haven't played Carnivores for 18 years! Definitely a childhood favorite. I didn't even know this version came out until last night when I was scrolling through the EShop on my Switch. Immediately bought it and started playing it. I definitely want to see more updates, but I love what's in it. Seeing a bigger roster of dinos! Also it'd be really cool to see mini dinos that you don't need a license for like the dimetrodon from carnivores 2. I'd also love to hear more ambient noise like in the original. I'd always get chills hears various dino roars off in the distance. Also an ice age dlc might be fun!

Bro I’m so happy that you keep together the carnivores cumunity pls keep it up carnivores is my childhood game

One of the things I love about Dinosaur Hunt is that the organs when using the x ray visor equipment are much more bigger, making them easier to see and are at the very least anatomically correct compared to hd and reborn.

This is a lot to ask for, but I would love to see something like a 2-4 player co-op mode where you can invite your friends to hunt dinosaurs, it would be so fun to play with friends.

Carnivores mobile has been my only knowledge of this series, until today! I just saw a video about the evolution of Carnivores, and it brought me finding that there was a series that just continued a year ago! I can't wait to play, best dino hunting game series ever.

Like far cry animals Predatory dinosaurs should do takedowns on herbert dinosaurs too

The messages that appear after you are killed are pretty funny. Mission Failed- Predator 1, Hunter 0. Hunt failed, you are lunch now! Lol!

I think I found this video to be a good informational video about the game from amazing Carnivore fan. Also how you have a great day.

I really hope we get the original classic carnivores dinosaur hunter on modern consoles but with all maps and dinosaurs (from carnivores 1, 2, and dinosaur hunter)

Definitely gonna grab this for my PS4.

I kinda wanna have notes to be found in the maps of the game that give tips or expand the lore such as past hunters writing their experiences.

Honestly, I’m not sure I can recommend the game at the moment :/ The devs just dropped a couple of lackluster DLC animals and basically said “That’s all,” so I don’t know how much life the game has left in it…

I want Dino variety and animal interaction. I wanna be able to perch on a hill and watch a Ceratosaurus hunt a Stegosaurus.

I play on nintendo switch, and its still one of the best graphical games on the Shop

Yea, honestly the graphics for me personally look slightly better than the ps3 graphics when i played it for myself on the switch and when in docked mode its more akin to what you see in saurians footage here, its still stunning as hell tho.

@@destroyerofgold yea, for me the difference isnt that much, but when i start looking deeper at the quality its defo noticable. But its defientely not as good looking as say the xbox/ps4 versions when you start looking in a bit more, those verisons look stunning! and i cant wait to see how it looks on the pc, reborn looked amazing on the pc and still does, i have hope for this game suceeding!

Honestly i am waiting for the day were nintendo finally updates their system and gives the switch a higher resolution on its handheld screen aswell as when docked, to where it can actually rival the ps4/xbox quality, (knowing nintendo that probably wont ever happen) in terms of fps and graphics. Until that day, i guess we have to make the best with the graphical quality the switch gives us, ngl i might just get dinosaur hunt on my ps4 aswell to see how it compares, as right now the switch version looks stunning, ans hell, i dont even have that much of a good tv hell nevermind a 4k ultra tv lol. i can only imagine how good the ps4 version looks! I say ill still play the switch version alot, theres just something about been able to play this game on a portable device that appeals to me alot, idk. Nice chatting with you!

id like to see them go a more realistic route as in less cartoony grapichs and morea realism simulation gameplay , think the hunter cotw with dinosaurs

I really don’t think the graphics are that cartoony, myself. I think they’d still match fairly well if they went deeper into simulation gameplay (which, I’d also love to see).

I really hope we get a patch to iron out the bugs and hopefully it comes to PC. I know the devs have said yeh this stuff is coming but....well we have been burned before. And if they do not end up fixing the game at least let us mod it.

I do hope things will change in the future, but let’s not forget this is still Tatem we’re talking about here, the company that abandoned their game and ran off with the money twice, the company that promised us updates we never received, the company that pretty much decided the fans had no say in content… I don’t exactly have high hopes but I am reluctantly keeping an open mind because anyone can learn from their mistakes, the problem is most don’t choose to-

Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter... Forget about park sims, more of this please! There's still much room for improvement and adjustements but this is already quite something!? Kudos to Digital Dreams Entertainment LLC for delivering something dino related that isn't a park sim for a change. Have there ever been physical releases for PS3 ?

saurian target you might not see this but what do you think about for male and female varieties if the Rex would be like the one in the game and a rarer one that’s kinda like carnivores 1-2 Rex? Btw I finally hunted my first Rex and two ceratosaurus that almost got me lol

My first time seeing this game. Playing right now. Now I'm a crappie hunter but with out the radar I feel like I'm walking in circles at times. But when I can find one and score that crit hit it feels good. One I just did was only feet away as it slept or was resting. I half expected it to stand up and run that close. Now I need to see if head shots are a thing here. *pokes head out of bush.* Also do bushes provide eye sight protection?

Let’s hope they update to add more dinosaurs. I’d wanna see ice age reborn as well

I wonder when the carnivores dinosaur hunt will release on pc.

Did they confirm that Dinosaur Hunt will eventually include more species following its release? ie: Velociraptor, Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, or Oviraptor? Or if they'll include more ambient species? Or more maps with varying environments? Or dynamic weather from sunny, to overcast, to fog/mist or downpours? Are they also going to fix the issue where they have it so that you only receive the point rewards when you collect a specimen for the trophy room?

Man, I really hope they make a PC port. Imagine what they could do graphics-wise!

It would be pretty cool to see a Dino Crisis type giganotasaurus that absolutely outmatches the Tyrannosaurus rex in pure size, has a bulky body and a ginormous head, it is by no means realistic but then again, this is a alien planet so anything is possible.

I completely missed this game which is a depressing as someone that grew up addicted to carnivores 2. I found it for $2 at olies, no joke along with shark hunter 3D if i remember the name correctly for the same price. I played the shit out of them as a kid. Fly cheat was fun too. The pro license is a dream come true. Scooping this game. Great review! Great nostalgia.

I had so much fun grinding the game for 5 days straight, haha

A shame. I only have a Nintendo Switch. Well, I’m used to the Switch versions of many multiplatform games not being properly optimized for the less powerful hardware. I’d like to get into PC gaming someday. And maybe the Switch successor will have an upgrade in the specs

He says towards the end he wants to give a balanced perspective towards the game and its gameplay, so he started out with the positives first. It's still genuinely surprising these revised versions were ever released. Pragmatically speaking, some positivity is needed, as you can't have theoretical future entries unless the game sells well enough.

Carnivores mods need more turtles

I want to play some Carnivores mods, but for some reason I can't run them in D3D mode. Only in Software mode. Do you know what the issue is? A missing file or something?

Possibly a missing file, but Carnivores is so old and finicky and everyone’s computers are so different it could be anything. Try messing with the resolution as well, sometimes that’s all that’s preventing people from running the mods in D3D

Hey Saurian! If you want to get a sense of Atmosphere, go onto Dalpheus and, if Dinosaur Hunt allows you to, TURN DOWN The Brightness on the foggy version of the map. Equip a regular rifle, Revolver, and NOTHING Else. Equip the Ceratosaur and Tyrannosaur licenses, and you have a TERRIFYING Hunt. Out of all the Carnivores games, These ones have the best atmosphere in my opinion.

I’m kind of the polar opposite of saurian. I don’t have the patience or the time to dedicate a hunt to meticulously tracking a dinosaur down by its sound and footprints, I prefer being able to get as many trophies in a single run as I can- which makes seeing a carnivore on my radar a huge rush, because I’m either going to get another impressive trophy, or lose it all in a stupid blunder

I respect that! I also get a big rush out of seeing a Ceratosaurus poke its head around a tree, kind of becomes a “this is it” moment, because I could lose all the trophies and points I’ve spend the past half-hour getting

PLEASE NOTICE ME! I desperately want to have Carnivores Challenges back. I used to love them but I have made any recently. As I said before, mine is ‘The Not Triassic Challenge’ for Carnivores Triassic in which you hunt the non Triassic creatures. The Animals are Edaphosaurus, Estomentosuchus, Scutosaurus, Gorgonops and Megalosaurus. Gojirasaurus counts ( being a hybrid) but is optional because it is overpowered.

Gonna have to disagree with most of the points: 1). 6-8 hours is a perfectly fine length for a $15 game that is Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter Reborn. You can unlock all dinosaurs and maps in Carnivores 1 in the same amount of time. 2). I don't know how the graphics is any better, it's like the devs just removed some filter and call it a day. Got rid of the advanced grass for some reason. Reborn honestly just looks much better. 3). Dinosaur hunting is objectively worse. Now carnivores locks onto you like a missile for some reason, herbivores aren't scared of carnivores, and instead of implementing a way for the carnivores and herbivores to just walk on top of rocks, the devs decided to make them just go through the rocks and even kill you out of reach. Also the AI still get stuck, and while sliding is removed, you have, in its place, turning at 2x speed, sometimes even awkwardly going in sideways. The POV of the hunter is way worse and you cannot adjust it this time. 4) Pro License shouldn't be an equipment, it should be a totally separate game mode that's unlocked after you beat the game. That way, the progression part of the game act as campaign while the "Pro License" act as sandbox mode. Making Pro License an equipment makes the game's structure looks very janky and confusing to new players (ofc the game is insanely janky anyway). Side note, as a future watcher, that progression point unfortunately didn't age well. Ahem ahem, the DLC. Reborn has a lot of problems yet Dinosaur Hunt fixes like 5% of it while adding even more problems.

I don't get it. This isn't reborn ?

Game is awful. Camera is all over the place, controls drift, blurry textures, 6 total dinos and 2 guns. Shoot into water no splash or reaction.

I personally never have a massive problem with the game there are some things that i still want but so far i do not hate it its not perfect
