that diff actuator lever is kind of vurnelable placed but some kind of a skid plate should help, i dig the DIG function a lot😂

Nice truck and good honest review the rear bed cover could be fitted with small magnets to avoid holes in the body, i did this with my black scx24 K5

Back watching again Saturday morning, got mine but when I opened up the box it was the brown and yellow one I was so mad supposed to be the black one even the email they sent me saying it’s on the way shipped says black. I emailed them, while I was waiting to hear from them I found they had the body kit complete you can get so I just went ahead and ordered the black body complete kit so when I scratch the brown one which I hate I won’t care. Love the rig though it is awesome 👍👍

No one else guts the innards as well as you, Greg! I always look for your reviews because of this. Looks like a nice kit, very complete. Too bad I've got too many already, I'd love one with the locking diffs! Makes it tough to upgrade the electronics also; no brushless for this bad boy.

Drill holes on bed and cut tabs on upper cap off. That way you don't have holes on cab of truck.

Awsome truck ,love the setup l was hoping for a detailed body like the fj ,still can’t wait to get one.

The body isn’t as good as it could be… but for $100-$150 less than a TRX-4, you get the locking diffs and 2 speed like Traxxas, PLUS you get dig, and lights, and decent looking tires… if the aftermarket supports this with brass goodies and upgrade, it’ll do well!

There’s a real easy way of doing it, unlatch the front first and then do the back because of the magnets pretty simple actually mini shop RC showed video on it

Ahhhhh the body is so close... that it makes the "misses" look worse. just my opinion. Looks a lot better with the cap on though, and two speed with dig..looks like some good "bang for your bucks". that's a winner. Awesome video and really enjoyed the "raw" start to the video.

If it's a K5 blazer it needs a rear seat. Loose the roll bar. Otherwise it's a K10 pick up.

I just got the skid plates for the unlocking mechanisms on the axles there, haven’t put them on yet just got them yesterday going to look for a video see if there is somebody that put them on already for reference

A really cool car and FMS did pretty much everything right with their first performance oriented 10 scale crawler. The only '*flaw' to me personally is the near see-through lexan body. It surely improves performance, but should I get this car, I would soon be looking for some nice hard body for it. But I am not seeing it is a must have.

The truck is mint.. at least theres not clips man..

I haven’t been able to get out with mine yet, get a new RC and all it does is rain Yep rained all Friday night I’m watching now Saturday morning 8:19 AM hoping to get out later on today but it’s supposed to rain

The clipless is super easy once you get used to it. I love it.

@@rcdriver always do the front first. Truck sitting flat, palms up, middle fingers on the tabs, thumbs on the headlight, push up with thumbs as squeezing tabs with middle fingers. Rear is the same (thumbs on the tailgate). But a little harder because of the magnets. Worst case use your ring fingers to help push up on the posts.

been waiting for 10th scale from fms , looks like a win to me , black and silver would match my real k5 , hopefully clear body available soon

For a first crawler? Hmm This probably has too much going on feature/ functionality-wise for a first. A simpler Sport may be better.

It doesn't go over rocks and such any better than anything else, but a nice truck anyway.

It works way better than the previous FMS offerings and some others. But yeah the truck space is getting competitive and close in capability. Good release for the brand.

Can u help me . Why is my k5 only steering to one side . There is no noise of motor trying to steer when i turn to the side that it wont torn to . Whem i turm to the side it dose turn it stays turned

They give you inner fender liners in the box. I didn’t get to install them because I had to schedule to try and hold to. 😆

Does anyone know a good servo that will work with it? I've got 3 servos that won't fit because of the axel being bulky

It should have come with the good body ABS plastic like most of their RC truck have. Lexan is a cheap way of getting out of it. Also, the dissent speed controller for that kinda money. To FMS selling point is the Plastic realistic bodies. That's the reason I buy FMS products.

ABS ist better for more Details,but lexan Bodys are way better for extreme crawling Angles cause of much lower center of gravity. 😊

It does make you wonder how other manufacturers get away with charging extortionate prices for less functionality. All greed I suppose. Looks like a cool rig and I’m sure ppl will make it look the part with some tasteful accessories.

Traxxas be like "Yea? Well......we have one that's BLUE now, $600 please"

I would think if GM gives out a licsense to do one of their vehicles they would want it to be a bit more accurate in detail. Spend the extra money and buy a TRX4.

Traxxas’ lexan body game is strong. This rig does have a few extra fiddly features that may interest some though.

Fms knows what traxxas, rc4wd, and every other company knows......square body Chevys sell. Proline tries to release other variants.....like the ram charger. (They should have tried a more budget friendly shortbed truck version and it would have sold better) The ford trucks definitely have their following as well......but its not quite like the c/k trucks. Thanks for the review

Nice Review like always from you. But this Bodyclipsystem isnt more or less then the Traxxas Clipless in the Way of getting ure Fingers Dirty ^^ But i think its better then the Axial System. There u have to Dig in the Dirt to get the Pins out under the Body^^ Thanks for making this Video and showing this Car.

It’s not so much about getting your fingers dirty. It’s just really awkward way to get the body off. You have to push in on a tab while pushing up on the posts while pushing down on the bumper all at the same time for both sides. And if one side moves more than the other, the posts wedge themselves in place. Then you have to push the body down and start all over. Then there’s the potential of dirt getting in there and hanging things up more like we saw on the Arrma Mojave 4S. I certainly appreciate they went their own route with body mounting, but I think it needed more fine tuning.

@@rcdriverSounds Painful and awefull, mabey a Steel Spring can help, to push it up when u release the Pins. But wont be a Solution for Pushing down. Can u cut the Pins so that there is only one place where the can wedge themselves?!
