Coach salary is more important. It's not even about coach education at the moment as much as it is about a pathway that there is for a D license coach. You have to increase the basic pay of an entry level coach i.e a D license for intelligent people to get into it. When intelligent people will chose football coaching as a career, the grassroots will improve drastically.
AIFF should look forward for good matches in India regularly like cricket matches and should broadcast in sports channel as football channel.
In my opinion we missed the golden opportunity of becoming a football power house when we had refused to participate in the Brazil world cup

Every one should know one thing back in 80's even icc wont gave priority to indian cricket many cricket boads won't even tour india that frequently, they even didn't telecast world cup 1983 . So only after winning 83 cup we got recognition and people started watching. Before 83 bcci doesn't have funds to tour other countries. So want say one thing one day football does want cricket did.

BCCI ko kitne he log jante the 1983 se pehle ......aur nah hi india me cricket utna famous tha after 1983 WC cricket got the boom here in india....the INDIAN TEAM won the WORLD CUP without coach there was only one supporting staff who was indian team manager PR Maan Singh....they won the world cup with zero facilities....If AIFF can pull off something like this and makes indian football team to reach atleast in the quarter-final of super-16 in the upcoming fifa world cup 2030 then only we can see the football culture in our country or else fans wont waste their time for AIFF.

Cricket was hardly played by 10 countries then. Achieving anything in the insanely competitive men's football of 21st century would require years of investment, culture and player development. Nothing will be achieved overnight.

Both are two different types of sport and both of them require athleticism and temperament and sorry to say Indian footballers does not have them only Chhetri sir had that temperament and even he retired .
