Group 4… When my son was a newborn, he was lying in his crib with eyes wide open and I heard him say “I am going to put you through hell”. He did just that. Today I was speaking with him on the phone and he was telling me that a young man he knows who is almost like a stepson, did the same thing to him just recently that he had done to me as a young man. He did put me through hell until I let go and stopped rescuing him. He was born in 1967 so he is now 58 I guess. Codependency can be a nightmare.
