@@animeman90sthat’s absolutely false. You’re going to the wrong places if it costs 100 euros a day. You can get cheap foods at local restaurants not tourist ones

Imo Rome is the perfect destination for all travellers, filled to the brim with friendly people. Affordable, can take day trips easily with their amazing train service, food so good that will make you gain weight and did I mention the people? Curious to think what is your “top 5 places for any type of tourist”

I did my 3 week study abroad in Italy (we traveled from Rome to Venice). We stayed in Rome for 2 nights. I got up alone at 6-7a, no cell service, no wifi around in 2017-2018ish (I’m very well traveled but never been abroad), got an espresso latte and fresh chocolate crossiant in rome for €2.40. Another time, did the same thing while doing our daily journal that was due (wanted to be fully alone & reflect) for the culture in a very small city, more expensive but it was a very wow experience vs watching locals of a huge city. I worked at Starbucks in a chain store at the time. Have tried local better coffee spots. Its never going to be the same. Price, location, people watch and easedropping for local business people (i knew enough to get by but understood locals talking in native tongue better than speaking)
