What Buck Showalter loves about the 2024 Orioles | The Adam Jones Podcast

Спорт

Buck Showalter oversaw the last run of great Orioles teams, guiding his team to the playoffs three times in a five-year span from 2012-16. Now that the veteran skipper is on the other side, can he appreciate what the O’s have accomplished over the last two seasons?
On the latest episode of The Adam Jones Podcast, Showalter joins Adam Jones and Jerry Coleman to talk about the state of today’s game (3:03), managing superstars (7:20), incorporating analytics (8:52), MLB draft strategy (12:25), this year’s O’s team (15:25), ejections (26:49), working under John Angelos and George Steinbrenner (32:35), the pitch timer (38:13) and more.
Then Adam and Jerry talk discuss the Orioles’ impressive June (49:05), All-Star weekend (51:00), Olympic baseball (54:58) and more.

It is nice seeing well-spoken, former professionals like Jones jumping in to provide real perspective on the game.

Os should bring him on into the front office. Buck has a wealth of baseball knowledge. He'd be a great advisor. Mets were stupid to get rid of Buck. Buck can help the Os. He's one of a kind.

I could listen to Buck talk baseball for days. And the way that he showed respect to Baltimore baseball history, was that of a lifelong native. It was one of the greatest privileges, to have Mr. Showalter in our city, for as long as we did.

He used to be my 2nd fav all-time Oriole till I worked for him at the old Cal Ripken house doing his tree work we were told don’t look at him. Don’t look at his family. Don’t talk to him, but then he gave up my boss a bunch of autograph shit signed to his son. Which is really fucked up because my Aunt used to massage him & his family. All I wanted was him to sign my fucking card.

I get facial hair thing....dude full beared at 18 prob isnt growing much more phyiscally.....but does big butt mean they sit on thier keisters more and are lazier? Or are big butts good? Bigger butts equal strong hips for a maybe power swingers? Im genuienly curioues how size of butts effect perceived abilities
