I think the problem with technology in general is that it develops with much faster pace than people, not because people are lazy but because nobody cares about developing them as much as is done with new technology. I mean give a certain person as much money and dedicated experts for developing him/her as done with developing new technology and see how he/she would develop. Nobody cares about investing in people as much as they do in technology. Personally I'm a translator and I know that my work can't be done by AI as I do it, because translation is a sort of art and two translators could translate the same text differently. Perhaps AI could replace translators in the future but that would be at the cost of transforming translation form being an art into being a sort of technical copying, thus losing its innovative side. Meanwhile the fashion lady looks surprisingly classy 😎😎😎 I would have thought her being a bank manager or someone from the government 😅

The 16-years-old lad and the blonde lass gave the best answers. It seems the younger a person the better informed they are.

As a writer, it is a little scary to think that AI could make me obsolete before I've even started. It's worried Hollywood enough that all the screenwriters are on strike now.

I don't think so. You have experience and empathy and this will shine through your writing. You are unique, AI is quite generic (yet). :)

I think it will be more of an incentive for writers to write more innovative and deep stories, perhaps it would make them stop writing flat stories and shallow works like all these superhero movies of nowadays.

@@islamadam8502 have superhero films ever been anything other than flat and shallow?

@@JamesLinton17 No with a few exceptions, but that's the point. If AI will write flat and shallow stories like those of superhero movies then human writers will focus on writing rich, deep, and innovative stories instead of wasting their talents on what AI can do.

AI would be great to have at home to do all the cleaning chores for us, can gives us massages etc. other than that scary! And yes for whatever unknown reason I bought an Alexa that I keep turned off all the time because the idea of someone eavesdropping on me just gives me the creeps! Also scary that most jobs could be replaced by an AI. There is a movie by Steven Spielberg called A.I. that was amazing on this issue! Recommend it and seems very relevant now! AI could definitely provide great company to lonely people, especially elders…

I have very mixed feelings on AI. On one hand it fascinates me and I think some boring jobs could well be replaced by it. I already tried ChatGPT and think it can be helpful as an idea generator. But for really good texts, like blog posts, it misses the uniqueness, the human experience and emotional factor. As a designer I'm not afraid it could take my job, because I'm not merely designing. I always consult my clients, ask them about the reason they do what they do and their visions and plans and all this goes into my design work. So I think AI can't do this part of my job. Those who think design is just a way of making things look nicely, yes, they'll get into problems because AI can do this faster and even better. A thing that scares me is that news can easily be faked and people won't even realize. So AI could influence political opinions. I think there should be rules on how far AI can be used. But how about countries who don't care about ethics? Phew, a very diverse subject ...

AI is only as good/bad as the person who programmes it surely , may be nice to not have some of the human prejudices maybe when they become more free thinking?????
