might be a really stupid question but how can you see which constellation the sun is moving through???? You can only see them during the day when stars aren't visible. At night you see the opposite side of the ecliptic if that makes any sense

At midnight the constellation directly above in the night sky is the constellation directly opposite the one the sun is in at noon (in the zodiac circle). The ancients had far fewer distractions and so made much more meticulous observations of the sky.

Determining midnight might also be problematic, how did they know when it's midnight? I think they wait until sun sets and stars show up, then look for the closest constallation and figure out what would have been behind the sun.

Correct, at least he stated ending on Aquarius, implying that's the last sign before the Spring Equinox, which takes place in Pisces now instead of Aries. My question is: Has precession changed our global perspective, reactivity, & receptivity to which transit is actually taking place in real time as opposed to tropical calculations & seasons, would the energy, intelligence, character, and spirits of the luminaries transition and grant qualities to such sign? Example: Somebody who would've been born in the spring 2000 years ago, would've been an Aries, but today would be Pisces, or the archetypal nature and influence of Libra back then, now being the description/profile ascribed to Virgo? Sorry for the bad grammar, it's 1:43 am lol 💫

@@Dorian-lt5jb Astrology uses only the 12 zodiac signs. They are specifically defined and equally distributed and don't change with astronomical changes.

I'm wondering why western astrology uses then the tropical zodiac instead of the sidereal (like you showed in the video). The precession caused meanwhile big differences between the tropical and sidereal zodiac. And I understand that the tropical zodiac orientates on the spring point, but for me is questionable though why then to speak about zodiac signs instead of e.g sth which has to do with the seasons, some extra symbols, instead of just acting like the charactaristica of the star konstellations equal with the seasons.

Depends on a depiction. Constellation is actually just an area of the sky. All stars in the area belong to the constellation. Different people draw the constellations' lines differently. I saw Aquarius really looking like a guy holding a bucket of water.

Ancient astrologers were able to figure out where the sun was on the Zodiac by noting which was the last zodiacal constellation to rise ahead of the sun, or the first to set after it. Obviously, the sun had to be somewhere in between. As such, each month a specific constellation was conferred the title of "House of the sun," and in this manner each month-long period of the year was given its "sign of the Zodiac."

Shouldn't the order of the sun and Earth be reverse? Because how would we be able to observe these constellations from Earth if they are right behind the sun. Or am I missing a major point?

Yes, it is ironic that the constellation of the sign you are born is not visible on your birthday. As said in the video it is supposed to be the time they are aligned with the sun. Pretty cleaver these astronomers thousands of years ago.

The sun does not enter the constellations, it’s more of understanding that as the earth moves around the sun, and the area behind the sun changes, thus allowing the sun to look like it is entering new constellations

So the earth is revolving around the sun. Is the sun revolving around something? Why is it going through the constellations? I thought the earth went by these signs as it revolved around the sun?

this graphic appears to show a geocentric (view from on earth) pov of the solar system, so naturally it does look as if the sun is revolving around us when it is not. for instance-if you look at our solar sys from a heliocentric (view from standing on the sun) pov-we would only see planets orbiting around the sun. since zodiac constellations are made of stars and stars do not orbit nor rotate, we would be subject to only view 1-2 zodiac constellations infinitely, based on which exact grid coordinates we are at. hypothetically of course in other words zodiac constellations are just groups of stars, the sun is literally a superstar, and stars GENERALLY do not move. “stars and planets in the milky way pull on the sun, ensuring it stays in place”

The Earth moves around the Sun, therefore we always see a different part of the sky throughout the year because the Sun is always outshining the constellations that are behind it from our point of view. The constellations are areas of the sky. The constellation the Sun currently outshines the most is the current sign. You can see the constellation during sunset and sunrise - at the point the Sun goes under/above the horizont.

The earth doesnt spin at 1000mph, orbit the sun at 66,000mph and move through "infinite space" at 450,000mph hahahaha #wakeuphumans

Earth is a sphere... I see a different night sky every 6 months coz I'm on the other side of the sun. If it was flat, I would keep seeing the same night sky all year. # Experiment for yourself

Sun does revolve. But the revolution in the video showed it is not the sun, but from Earth's perspective.

If the sun is in the middle, how can it pass though each house? Therefore, the earth is in the center. It's called geocentric, look it up. What your trying to prove is the Heliocentric model where the sun is in the middle. With that model, you can't read astrology. So, you pick which one is right?

Earth is tilted by 66,5 degrees. Therefore on June 21 the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun and on December 21 it's tilted from the Sun.
