MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn't have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey...it should be an honest and fun ride!

    Glad you’re saying this out loud. The process requires work. The “secret” is the process. Most people are lazy. They want the “secret” bait. To be honest this has been taught to them by clever marketing to sell - baits. The process- putting together all the pcs and knowing the “why” is hard work.

    Absolutely nailed it. This is the biggest thing that sets Todd’s channel apart from the rest. Most people are just making watch me fish content, sponsor content or making videos specifically tailored around making money via affiliate marketing the gear (Tactical Bassin). Todd actually puts out content that teaches things about fishing, there are a few other good ones as well. I’d also be willing to bet that a good chunk of us that regularly watch this channel could out fish the regular viewership of other channels. Not saying it’s all because of Todd’s videos, just saying the type of viewer that watch this type of content are already advanced and trying to get better.

    Some of the biggest things I’ve learned on scope is how much a bait will rise on a retrieve and how slow you actually have to reel a bait to keep it down at a specific depth. Catching fish around rock piles or stumps and observe the layout and then applying that knowledge to the topo on the chart and patterning that is probably one of the most helpful scoping techniques. Presenting a bait at a pc of structure without getting snagged is another big deal with the scope.

I'm pretty good using it & it's helped me catch a lot more fish. I also see way more fish that don't bite than I see that do!. I need to use forward more often. I fish a lot shallow water 15' & less. Which is where perspective mode shines & why I tend to keep it in perspective mode.

    100%. Also, listening to the great and wise Matt Pangrac on BTL lately 😂, "scoper" is too broad of a term for type of fisherman nowadays. Sure, some guys target individual fish, but some target structure and some just follow their power baits. A lot of guys aren't good at all types. I've noticed that many guys that are phenomenal at targeting big largemouth on timber aren't necessarily good at bomb casting smallmouth with the livescope set out to 140 feet before they get spooked in ultra clear water.

I also have learned that in the lakes I fish the fish seem to keep their belly’s on the dirt quite a bit more than I thought. I won’t see any fish on FFS and then dredge a crank through there and all kinds of fish will rise up as the bait goes through. Once I know they are there then I figure out how to catch ‘em if the crank didn’t get bit

    I think it's clear that we all understand that almost everyone that is against FFS, is being able to watch the fish and your bait live as you put it in front of them and catch them. Now, I know, you know and they know that this doesn't happen everytime you use FFS, but it doesn't matter, if it just happens 30, 20 or just 10% of the time in there eyes it makes the whole thing bad, now they may be right or they may be wrong, but that part does happen and that's why they will never stop talking against it...

    Todd I have been using live scope for about 3 years. Live in northern Indiana and like you said yeah their has been a few times where I have seen fish and tried fishing for them however we have very weedy lakes and the first thing I learned about live scope is how well it worked for just showing the weed edges. I fish local river all the time and its amazing the images of isolated cover I have found with it and that is what live scope is all about!! I have also used it for finding fish under boat docks. ITS A TOOL AND PEOPLE NEED TO USE IT AS SUCH.

  • @fisherman7275
    @fisherman7275Ай бұрын

    Ive "scoped" a few with the right conditions.....hence right conditions which is not often. A lot of it is winter/early spring finding fish on isolated structure and being able to present a bait and have them come out of that structure. Other then that it is my front unit, tells me depth, temp, lets me see bottom conture. Basically it is my all in one unit upfront other then my mapping unit. Nice to be able to mark structure or cover on your livescope and it transfer to a waypoint. Just makes you more efficient which is what most of us want....well other then the ones who love the mystery and would rather cast aimlessly about, and call it skill. Bottom line, those that understand and gather more information will always excel faster then the others who dont want to put in the time and effort to try to put more pieces of the puzzle together. Its kinda like the ones that complain are doing those kiddy 100pc puzzles, and the ones that excel are doing 1000pc puzzles. Of course if it take someone the same time to put that 100pc puzzle together as the one doing one with 10 times more pieces, that guy has to be cheating.

It’s another tool yes, it’s belt far the best tool on your boat hands down. Regardless I use it, I have too. I’ve never been like these old timers and others that just throw my hands up on defeat. All I know is I cannot watch a professional tournament on tv anymore. It is like watching grass grow. And without people watching these tournaments that's how they butter their bread. You nay have had your head down before you were still casting, you would try different techniques, different types of water I personally can't stand watching it and if they lose viewership they will lose their sponsors. I have personally don't have a livescope but have fished with someone that does. I think it's boring as hell. I am not a fan and think this is definitely gong to ruin the bass fishing industry and resources over time.

    Love the guy who complains about whining and crying while whining and crying. You still sound like a drunk too. Stop rambling.

    I asked a question big guy, I don’t remember whining about a thing. Nice try, you seem like the guy who tries real hard to be that guy but isn’t. Keep watching my videos though, you can’t help yourself😂😂👍

    You complain a lot. Why don't you just worry about yourself? Instead of whining about everyone else.
