In this short teaching, Mingyur Rinpoche explains the two truths - the absolute truth and relative truth - which describe the nature of reality and laws of causality that govern interdependent appearances. Bang on...two truths...one that we perceive with our 5 senses and the other that can be perceived from beyond the senses...so if we have to perceive the absolute reality then we have to raise our awareness so the veil of mind dissolves....

    Perception vs reality. Relative reality is perception. And absolutely reality is reality as it is. Can we say that?

  • @Taronites
    @Taronites6 жыл бұрын

    The "many, many boxes" are the associations in our mind. We are conditioned to recognize and categorize what we see and experience by means of associations. Actually most of them are given to us, which creates our dependency to a culture or society. We are nearly lost, when we encounter something that we can not weave into our web of associations. I imagine that the first step to move towards the perception of absolute truth is to try to recognize and remove associations as we ponder over a subject or object. Is there a need to explain, or can we allow ourselves to perceive something simply for what it is?

    like his way of giving speech As a Muslim I found many similarly with Islam and Buddhism specially in spiritual aspects,(E.g -same way when we stand for salat/namaz we practice meditation for 5 times in day) Though there is theological difference between two religion but in search of inner peace and calmness both religion seem identical

    isn't absolute too a relative truth from observer point. as you say beyond- then freedom too is concept. it has no way of knowing it as freedom, forget achieving buddhahood. beyond means that. how the hell can you call its freedom in beyond when you say its beyond words, expression blah blah etc.to achieve freedom means idea of self(concept) thats need to be freed still exits as per heart sutra

    There are no two truths and no abhidamma and no 84000 ways to liberation. Those imaginative "truths" were the products of followers imagination concocted hundreds of years after the Buddha passing. They are a compromise and deviations to the Buddha's original teachings.The truth of the original teachings are found in the nikayas / dharma vinaya of the Pali texts. Always insist on the original teachings!
