Thank you so much for such good information I’m 55 and just experienced my 1st UTI. I wouldn’t have know if I hadn’t gone to the ER with Flu symptoms ,high blood pressure readings. They took urine sample during my visit.

I use to keep UTI when i was younger, my symptoms was pulling when i urinate . The pain was worst then labor pains . I had a UTI, at 59 from holding my urine in , i had incontinence. That was so embarrassing so after that, I never held my urine again. Thank you so much for this informative video.

I have a UTI for over a month now it started when I got my menstruation in January and I am still taking I went back Monday for a examination it's painful and I can't finish urinating very painful up all night

@@MsRicanMami1 I've had several UTI's in my life. No matter how clean and hygienic I am or how clean I keep my bottom area there, I get UTI's. My doctors (2 of them) told me that some women are built differently down there too, which makes it easy for them to get UTI's. They always put me on antibiotics. I know I'm getting one when I feel "crampy" right above my crotch at the bottom of my stomach; I feel really tired all the time; I have to pee all the time; I feel like I''m "coming down with something" along with those other symptoms. A couple of times, the antibiotics didn't work the first time and they had to do a 2nd round of a different antibiotic (that's why you should ask if they send out your urine culture to a lab, and that lab will determine the exact bacteria that is causing your UTI, and they'll give the correct antibiotic for that specific bacteria). My cultures take 3 days to come back. In the meantime, they've put me on either Macrobid or Cipro (Ciprofloxacin), but Cipro can have bad side effects. The Macrobid works best on me. My UTI's can go away after 5 days on antibiotics, OR, they've also taken up to 2 weeks to go away. I've tried to prevent them by drinking tons of water all the time; by taking showers before & after sex; by wearing only cotton underpants; by taking baths instead of showers (to sit in the soapy water & get really clean up inside there). Nothing has worked. I still get UTI's. My doctors recommended the supplement called "D-Mannose", which you take daily with your vitamins and it makes it "slippery" inside the urine tract so that no bacteria sticks. The famous brand called "AZO" now makes D-Mannose. I hope you get better. ❤

Pulling!?! You mean you felt a pulling sensation when you urinate ? Because i get the same pain & it’s the worst. Also sometimes when i do certain movements i get the pulling sensation towards my belly button.

I feel a lot of pain in my lower tommy part when going to unirate

In May of 2023, I was hospitalized with a kidney infection that seeped into my bloodstream. I was administered IV antibiotics for 5 days. I experienced pain in the lower abdomen, fatigue and frequent urination.

Is bleeding also a symptom

Dr Frita you mentioned blood in the urine. I've had blood in my urine for years. I've had the same PCP and urologist for about 15 years. My urologist said it's just happens he can't find a reason why it's happening. I'm 55 years old and been having uti's maybe once a year for the last 3 yrs.

I have had severe stomach pain. Have a UTI coli. Been on antobocxitics for 7 days. Hadn't helped me, made my tummy hurt more. The sides of my back hurts bad too. My Doctor won't check me again. I also had a low grade spesis 1.15. She wont check that. Im so worried cus im a diabetic on 4 shots a day. Im drinking cranberry diet juice hoping it will work. I dont know what to do. 🥺😢

I'm not sure if is uyi because I don't have any pain, also my urine is clear but what worries me is urinating frequently especially at nite,

I'm assuming you're very young. Cancer is cancer. A UTI is an infection (urinary tract infection). If a UTI was cancer, the first thing they would do is not call it "urinary tract INFECTION". They would call it "urinary tract cancer". A tooth infection is an infection. It is not jaw or mouth cancer. If it's cancer of any kind, it'll have the word cancer in it.

Just want to add that UTIs in older adults have different symptoms...dizziness, loss of balance, falls, loss of appetite, confusion, low blood pressure, incontinence. Unfortunately, these symptoms may go on for quite a while before a diagnosis is made.
