Wow, I knew Megan would be great on this, but I find massive comfort in how much Helen got it and held great space for this in a courageous way. Seeing this in network media is so empowering to me in my grief. Thank you.
My fiance passed away on October 2022. I'm still grieving

Everyone grieves in their own time. So be kind to yourself and let those who support you near you. Support means accept how you are feeling w/o saying how you should feel. Take your time. I’m sorry for your loving loss.
Offering to help take the garbage down the stairs or helping make calls or myriad other simple options of service speak multitudes more love than “are you healed yet?” or “it all happens for a reason,” etc. If I wanted trite memes I’d go to Ross for Less and buy a few of them printed in a gaudy typeface on big ugly art frames. Showing up and lovingly holding a space for pain without judgement is the real god work.
If an officer takes it upon themselves to tell you that somebody passed away and they should learn how to do it properly. I had the same thing happened to me when my mother died. He's in officer passed me in the hallway of the hospital Hey Is Danny your mother didn't make it. I didn't like the way he said
