In the first episode of SPAN-ART©, Roman Stabauer (iWFT) and Sebastian Wulf (TOOL FACTORY) show you everything about chips by using recordings on a lathe: How does a chip form, what impact does the cutting speed have, and what are actually the main influencing variables on chip formation? In addition, the difference between the various chip types and chip shapes is explained.
The most effective way to illustrate these influences is by the use of inserts in turning operations.

Bei nem normalen Baustahl ist dann welche Art von Spänen optimal?

Es sind immer kurze Späne, kontrollierbare Späne optimal. Gerade bei Baustählen ist dies aber nicht immer erreichbar. Hier sollte dann je nach Möglichkeit über Spanbrecher, Schnittwerte und Spantiefen versucht werden einen zumindest abfließenden Span zu erziehen.
