What Are The Lines On My Trimmer?
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
It's one of my most-asked questions, "What are the lines on your trimmer?" In this video I'll answer that question! I created the lines on my trimmer to make it quick and easy to cut card bases, card fronts, and different sizes of card mats. By using the lines which are color-coded, I don't even have to look at measurements, I just have to line up with the correct line on my trimmer. If you struggle with measurements or cutting card frames and mats, this video is for you!

Thank you! I think this is genius. Companies should manufacture this way. I still struggle with measuring. This WILL help.
I have new team members that come over and help me cut paper for class packets. And these lines would be awesome to put on one of my many stampin' up trimmers for them to use!!!
This is such a great idea! This will give me the confirmation I am on the right line. I love your tip about cutting 'between the lines' to get the smaller borders. Thank you.
I had a few lines to help me identify only basic messages for my card stock. Your idea is far more helpful not to mention faster with no chances of evet rubbing off. Thank you so much! Measuring is intidimating to mebut more so for " students "
thank you. I have seen these lines on trimmers and it would always confuse me. This was very helpful..
Love this idea of placing the various colors on the trimmer. I know this will help me tremendously! Thank you so much for doing this video and sharing this technique with us.
Awesome tip. Definitely will make card making fast, once you get past the “learning curve”!

you can buy 'highlighter tape' in many colors rather than the pens. I am a quilter and use Omnigrid GLOW-LINE TAPE which i use on plastic rulers when cutting..The omnigrid is 1/4" wide thanks for the tips!
Love this would be great printed on a cover acetate sheet to stick on top of ruler!
I love watching all your tips! They're always very helpful!!!

Glad it was helpful!
I have a dumb question…. I haven’t removed the protective film from my trimmer, even though I’ve had it since this newer version was released. Should I remove it before marking the lines? Part of me thinks I should just keep it on, but then if the film ever starts peeling… I’d lose the drawn lines! Maybe I don’t even need an answer since it’s more of a personal choice. (My 2016 Ford Escape still has the protective film on the various things on the dashboard.) Ps. This is such an amazing concept to draw the lines! I know I’ve had other trimmers that have some of these sizes marked out, but with the same black color as the other lines. Color-coding works better with my brain.
This is a great trick.
So great wish I had that video years ago thank you 🇨🇦❤️
