Slide the metal piece on first then run the rubber under hot water or use your hands to roll it and warm it up. The rubber part is pretty flexible when it’s warmed up
I have a 2" bronze no-hub. I want to connect to 2" copper pipe. What fitting do I use?

There is a special copper transition for 2" copper that has a slightly thicker interior diameter.
Some are allowed under concrete like,mission,fernco may not be,if theres possible movement in that area,fernco may not be fully encased by steel like those in the video

But why are they called no hub?

Because both pipes being connected don't have a hub.
I have a bunch of 8” inch no hub couplings that I can sell for a good price

Not Correct, You need to use Fernco for any PVC to Cast iron connection. No Hub Couplings between PVC and Cast iron are illegal and will not pass inspection.

@Joe M Um they are approved from the international plumbing code and Florida Building Code. The ones that might be illegal might be the one with 2 straps and the metal shielding. The standard one with 2 straps is approved....

@Joe M ive seen the shielding used for cast iron to cast iron connection joints. The fernco can be used to join the waste arm copper drain to PVC inside the walls. the only time you watch out for special adapter sizes is for example clay city pipe to pvc pipe

@@shazadhussain4204 Yes, here in south florida it will not pass inspection. Only for cast iron to cast iron repair.

Anybody else noticed he tried to put a no hub on a the female part of a 45 fitting instead of the male end or regular pipe? Lol thats a rookie move
