It is rare but not impossible. Menstural cycle irregularities can allow two eggs getting ready to be fertilized at the same time or close to each other, while being fertilized by different fathers. Or, they may have a month between their fertilizations but they both get to be born healthily. With the lack of suspicion and DNA tests, these cases can easily go under the radar.
