You should look up Meta's codec avatars. They are in development at the moment, but even 4 months ago they still eclipse the personas of the vision pro. I'm interested to see how that launch goes.

Legend. The more people that wait, the more likely I'll be able to get one in Aus when they're finally released. I'm nervous about the international launch as Apple has already sold half of the yearly amount they have access to in 2024.

Cool, but how many widgets can you have around the house running at the same time? Can you have a big screen in your living room, a timer in the kitchen, a photo library on you night stand, a computer screen on your desk all running at the same time, how long will they stay open, and how far apart can two widgets be from each other?

They are really different products, the more accurately are the Microsoft Hollolens I think, but Vision Pro are not VR device, they are AR pro gadget

I'm convinced the introduction of Apple's Vision Pro is comparable to the introduction of Apple's Macintosh in 1984. It's a whole new way to interface with your computer that is hard to explain to people who are still so used to the old way. Yes, it's kinda expensive, maybe underpowered, and not expandable, but it's clearly the future. This is a first version, like the 128K Macintosh, but the potential is tremendous. I've always been all about 3-D. Yes, the glasses are awkward, but the effect is always amazing. I even learned to doodle in 3-D, viewable by slightly crossing my eyes so the images overlap. As a really fancy iPad, I can't help thinking media consumption will be a primary use for this device. It's price-competitive with a huge-screen TV. I can't wait to see what else y'all can figure out what to do with it.

It's a quest 3 marketed differently to fool the lot of you. Good job oculus/ meta only deal with pricing and doing great product and not stuffing the best screens elsewhere this thing woul be a joke how your all going on about it. The problem is this is nothing new it's not even close to that it's just got iOS where as meta quest has had to build it's own platform not drop on something in place like apple. But the spacial computing has been around for years now 🤣

Maybe a future model but not this one. It’s too bulky, too heavy, battery life is bad and it has no killer app. In the future tho when they solve all of these issues it can very well be the iPhone replacement

Nope, it'll be remembered for being very expensive (beta testers paying for the R&D), having a big ass cable with a battery attached, barebones apps, being heavy and unconfortable and also the creepy as hell persona feature. Do yourself a favor and get a meta quest 3 and experience a real awe-inspiring device.

Then this releases, it’s only gonna get worse with the crap going on in the world. People are going to wanna disconnect from the real world and live in there fake reality. Kinda like ready player one, nobody cared about human interaction, and everybody spent there lives in a fake world instead of living in the world that you’ve been blessed by because the odds of being born are like incredibly high, i dont remember what it was but you could look it up. So yeah basically what im saying is society and the entire world is doomed and there’s no going back. AI will only become more powerful and humans will continue to make more dumb decisions.

Thanks for the video. I'm glad you like it. Can you watch Hardcore Henry in it? It's an action film shot in 1st person of the main character. I think AVP would be perfect for that, with the parkour and chase scenes in 1st person in an immersive environment.

I own a meta quest 3 and I need very strong corrective lenses. At least in the quest you can bring the mixed reality windows that float in your room as close to your eyes as you want and as soon as your head goes through the hologram it will fade and you will see through to behind it like fog. Another thing to note is that both headsets have corrective lens inserts available if that works for you. Only the quest allows for you to wear glasses inside the headset though.

It would be very nice if windows could be shared with other users and with users in particular. That is, leaving a window forever or for a certain time for another person or people who reach that point days later or months or years later.

This device has tons of potential. Can’t wait for future developments. I’ll definitely save up to get my hands on these (future ones).

Make sure you keep your options open. Depending on what you really want out of a headset there are other options that already trade blows with the vision pro. The meta quest 3 has a more flexible OS, more mature platform, %700 cheaper price tag, significantly wider FOV (the vision pro looks like you're looking through binoculars), youtubeVR support, Netflix support, a usb port for data transfer and charging, an option for better battery solutions, more 3rd party accessories, more social apps, an option for either hand tracking or controllers, proper VR support, lighter weight, better lenses that are clear edge to edge (the vision pro has a drop off in sharpness around the edges), option to wear glasses inside the headset or buy prescription lens inserts, access to SteamVR, modding support, beter development tools, 10 - 25% discount codes on virtually any app in the entirety of the Quest store if you look out for perpetual referal codes, and a lot more that's still to come. The vison pro is neat, but its definitely got a set direction and like with anything apple, if you dont want to do things exactly how Apple wants, then you're going to have a bad time.

I was skeptical about Vision Pro at first because it was still just trial point for Apple to try new things. What I liked the most is how Apple implemented every part of their company into making app, designs, and layout. As a student, I wish I can get to try it as part of my life but I will have to wait and see how the years pass.

$3,500 to be a beta tester for Apple. I'm going to wait a few years until there's "killer apps". As of right now it's giving demo vibes even with the first full release. Aside from Apple's built in iOS apps, what is the 'must have' 3rd party app? Feels barebones for such a high price.

For example: if he has a massive screen in the living room, when you go to the living room, you will have a massive screen there and it would be playing the exact same thing in sync.

Its pretty disappoiting that there are no youtube, netflix and spotify apps on this thing unlike for example meta quest which got vr apps for netflix and youtube. And Im pretty sad that there are no mr / vr games on this, because I personally use my quest 3 for watching movies and playing games. But otherwise it looks pretty good so far. Especially the hand and eye tracking is very promising. And also the screens and passthrough are very impressive. Really excited for more reviews tomorrow.

@@owei647 I mean its okay that they vent brought the vr apps to vision pro immediately. Its a different operating system and good things take time. But what I meant by this is the following: Vision pro supports all apps out of the iPad anf iPhone apps store unless the publisher of that app actively decides that they dont want to be available for vision pro. And this is what netflix, youtube and spotify did. And I can understand why they did that. Apple didint treat third party app developer very nicely recently. And: nearly every vr / mr game needs controllers because of the better tracing and input options they offer. So its not very likely that we will see a lot of vr / mr games becoming available on vision pro in the next time. But I mean there are still normal iPad / iPhone apps and games. And I dont say no to play them on a giant screen which is still pretty pretty cool.

I am very excited about the future of Vision Pro but I still have many unanswered questions.... Like will I actually be able to use it.. I saw that it needs a scan of your hands, but it seems for persona it needs both the front and back of your hands? Is this correct? Because if so that might be an issue as I cannot fully rotate one of my hands

I like this technology because I think it looks really cool and you can use it like a device but in mid air instead of on like an iPad or on an iPhone. The only drawback that I see here is that it's too similar to Sony PlayStation's Virtual Reality where you do virtual stuff in the real world so my question is did Apple copy the idea of using virtual reality from Sony and make it as their own idea known as Vision Pro?

I'll probably buy the 3rd or 4th version of this model. let them work the kinks out as much as they can haha

Some reviews are saying the cameras arent good enough for the display and the passthrough looks like an iPhone video. This is about 3-4 years away.

if you want to remove the cable from the battery, tried inserting a sim card tool into the port next to the cable. 😮

What's interesting is that 4 people got early access (early delivery) of the Vision Pro. Brian Tong, Marques, Nilay Patel and You. I wonder from a pear group standpoint does that cause strife between creators, or better question how do you prevent that strife? The beauty of KZreadrs early on was that everyone had to go wait in line and buy the product, whether you're old, young, blue or green......now it is getting that corporate press feel to it, where you have to be on a list or know somebody. Because it feels like if you lay person wants to know about VP, you got 4 options to learn about it, that's it. And I can't even hate against the YTbers who do take these opportunities because it would be stupid not to, to turn down the exclusive views and connections within a market that's very cut throat at this point (matured). These practices from companies feel weird and are probably poisoning the well of camaraderie amongst KZreadrs or not, what do I know. 🤷🏽‍♂

This is an awesome first Gen product. I wont be buying one yet, but once it is 2 to 3 generations in, I’ll pick one up with no hesitation (as long as the excess funds are there, of course).
