TFW the whale gives you hand of greed in the beginning, you get all the gold from all the floors and then you die to a guardian because you spent all your health greedily

Sometimes, when I win an A20 run, I feel like I'm a decent player. Then I see something like that Champ fight, and it's time for me to sit down and shut up.

actually with pyramid it isnt so bad of a card as you can manipulate the amount of cards you draw to become that of 0 draw pile

I half expected Jorbs to path around all the shops until act 4.

@zorbas091 With Pyramid, Concentrate lets you get rid of bad cards and play good cards. Without Pyramid, Concentrate is a terrible card that enables Unplayable Discard skills which are also terrible.

My favorite dirty start is getting feed from the whale. What's that slime king, your big attack deals 36 damage? Well that's only 1/3 my hp before I even play a block card.

As I was chuckling about you forgeting die die die I realized I had watched this run and forgotten it :/ the gold fish bowl phrase brought me back

Jorbs doesn't always take the curse, but when he does, it's right before a shop like that. I swear, Jorbs can actually calculate what's up just by looking at a seed.

A very silly run - thank you once again, I loved it :)

Just noticed the shape of power/skill/attack cards are all different.

The thumbnail made for a very foreshadowing-heavy first 5 minutes to the run.

I put this on to fall asleep to and passed out before we got to the first shop

That was kind of the decks i got oftem, excluding the 3 Wraith Forms + ghost potion in the end.

In over a year of watching his runs, I think this is the first time I've seen him take a terror.

Generally "normal" damage with vulnerable on silent isn't very good to be relying on late in a run. We're talking about a character that can put 300 poison on something with only 4 cards after all.

Has Jorbs ever uploaded a deck with a little bit of discard synergy in it? Whenever I see a discard focused card in his card rewards he treats them like the plague. I mean I know they're kinda substandard but surely at some point there been something.

As you say it's sub-something so it's used a side dish even in the heaviest discarding decks like with tough bandages. And discard cards are not especially amazing either most of the time. With how many required things for each situation, you never really have the time to focus on a sub strategy that much. If there was a discard feel no pain that might be different, but there's only tough bandages and tactician... are rarely so great.

Just realize hand of greed doesn't exhaust, wow.

Legit question--why pass up on blade dance while you have Shuriken (or Kunai for that matter)?

Grand finale deck. (Just don't look at the three wraith forms and incense burner it'll be fiiine)

Doesn't hand of greed give gold when fatal, no matter if it's a minion or regular enemy? If that's correct you could have gotten a lot more gold from the gremlin leader fight.

Hand of greed gives 25 gold, if I remember correctly, but Jorbs said 50 quite a few times in this video. Is it an inside joke that I missed?

Since membership card halves all the prices, every 25 gold is worth the same as 50 gold on a non-card run, as you can buy double the amount you normally could with your current gold. Even though it can be confusing, jorbs tend to use that rule to refer to gold (doubling the amount) on all membership card runs, prolly due to him being acustomed to standard costs (dead branch costing around 330 gold to say an example). If that is the case then is easier to think about posible store contents with normal prices and double the gold amount to not have to do so much math when trying to choose between going or not to a store

Oh, so when you say "I'm getting 150 gold this fight" against the triple sentries. You meant it like with membership card, everything is 50% off, so 75 gold becomes 150.. I see. I thought if you had membership card and used hand of greed, that a passive effect is you get double the gold when you use it. Technically yes, because shops are half off and your money goes twice as far, but actually getting double the gold, no. not at all.

59:14 why did you miss grand finale there? The 3 dazed in your hand would exhaust themselves, you had 2 cards in draw pile, and the repulser was about to add more cards to your draw pile.

Your deck wasn't lacking damage, you were just actively choosing not to do damage and then complaining about not doing damage.
