One of the critical issues in the upcoming referendum is how the Voice will help disadvantaged Indigenous communities.
7.30 travelled to three of those communities in North Queensland with No advocate and Federal MP Bob Katter.
The Indigenous leaders 7.30 spoke to were mostly supportive of the voice and believe it will work - with one important proviso - it needs to have strong grassroots representation, as Peter McCutcheon reports.
