Here's what I observed in the initial 2:23 video. In the segment where she's performing "Acopelya," the setting gives off a mansion-like vibe. Yet, in the garage scene, there's a classic Rolls Royce car, and her brother is sporting a BYU t-shirt. It's intriguing how despite her undeniable vocal talent, there's a contrast in the portrayal of financial struggle, given her background of growing up in a single-parent household??? I am still cheering for her and she's my number #1 pick

Hahahahaha that's a huge property in Bermuda Dunes owned by a good friend of mine. It's a 4 bedroom house and the back house is a 7 bedroom house which both are on airbnb and the warehouse is for weddings etc. That is NOT her car. That's the owner of the houses vehicle. I talked to her father. He said he wants to be in his Children’s life as much as he can but the mother keeps him at bay. Before she asked for a divorce, he was in their lives quite a bit and was a coach for the kids in sports. If Abi makes the finals on American Idol, he will be there.

It’s sad that when “some” couples go through divorce they lose sight that it isn’t just about their relationship, they have to think about the best interest of their kids whether they like each other anymore or not. We don’t truly know Abi’s background story or that of her father.. and it wouldn’t be the first time within the Idol show that the trolls will come out to play and start UNFAIRLY saying that the only reason dad showed up is bc his daughter has gained some fame, I hope that doesn’t happen to him but it’s rather common unfortunately. Abi’s old enough to make her own decisions/choices now and it’s truly nobody’s business anyway, just saying. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Edit: (Hideaway) Inside Your Eyes. Kids are conceived, not acquired. Believe it or not, one partnership of a male and a female can potentially have 7 children within 7 years easily. During that period of time there is no telling how a relationship might unravel, but, I one could guess. Define talented? You're comparing a newbie (Abi) to a woman (Taylor) who has been in the industry for 15-20 yrs. Not exactly a fair comparison There are multiple levels and layers when it comes to being talented. Singing is just one aspect of being talented. Yes Abi is a better singer than Taylor, but the jury is still out on how good a songwriter Abi is vs Taylor. As of right now, Taylor is superior to Abi in this regard, because Taylor's music connects and is wanted by a large demographic of young women. Taylor's music is on a whole other level that can't really be explained other than ppl want her music and go crazy for it. Ppl went nuts for her newest album that got released a few weeks ago. It remains to be seen how good a songwriter Abi is and whether her music will have the same connection to her fans that Taylor has with hers. You also have to look at the overall on stage presence that Abi has vs Taylor. In the very short sample size that we have had of her on Idol, Abi's potential is definitely there and has promise to be huge in 5-10 yrs time. Right now, Taylor owns the concert world. Her tickets sell out in minutes and the demand to see her in concert hasn't been seen since Garth Brooks in the 90's. Her concerts literally sell out in 10 mins. Then you have to factor in the level of entertainment value that Taylor puts into her shows. Her Era's Tour is insane. The amount of production that she has in that concert alone is crazy. However, as mentioned above, Taylor has 15-20 yrs experience, Abi has zero. Abi definitely has a future in music, there is no argument there, but will she get to Taylor Swift's level? Probably not as there is very few women that can match Taylor pound for pound. I see Abi getting to Carrie Underwood's level and that's nothing to sneeze at. Abi is a very good singer and is hands down the best in this season's Idol, but being a good singer is a pre-requisite to getting into the industry. You have to have all the other elements that make you desirable and in demand. Will Abi hit that level is the question and it's too early to answer just yet.

They live in a 5 bedroom house but Indio at the time of the 2006 purchase was a cheap place to live because of the very hot summer/falls. I'm quite sure their father paid for the house before he left.

she didn't drop out of high school. She homeschooled rest of high school and did dual enrollment for college. It was said by her brother on another youtube video. Please don't fault her mom, when you don't know the whole story. Her mom seems pretty supportive of her and her music.

I agree 100% Venessa, beautifully said here. We do NOT know the whole story here between Abi and her mother. For all we know Abi offered to help her mother with her younger siblings, the best she could. Abi has a VERY strong, mature attitude. Lots of Confidence but can get more confident. I like how Abi is NOT flamboyant. She is a VERY humble, genuinely sweetheart of a girl.

@@efrenmoreno3 Technically without naming the unique voices that you can't compare, quite a few others that are more vocally matured. However, on this show in most cases the voters get it wrong because it turns into a popularity and pump competition. I like watching the show for the best and ready talent regardless of winning. If you are a favorite of someone, it is your opinion just like I have my opinion. Your question to me implies that you believe Abi is the best vocalist. No changing your mind if that is what you think. I base my favorite on the Pop Style singers technical ability, upper and lower register, pitch and tone. Then, there are the unique singers and performers that are in their own category in which I choose as who was the best for me and that I would pay good money to go see in person and or buy their music. Abi can win this show because of what I mentioned above regarding voters. If not, I believe she will get even better over the next 2-3 years especially getting this exposure. She will at the least always be able to monetize her vocals in certain capacities just like others on this show now and in the past.

@@magic2506 I am NOT a musician, I was an athlete but love all kinds of music, mostly rock though since I am in my early 60's. I rarely watch Idol anymore cause the singers do VERY little for me. I can't fake it as many are raw and weak. I get downloads in you tube from AI and I saw Abi's audition of What was i made for video and instantly fell in love with her voice, style, and personality. Her whole image. I can't fake that. She has such a likeable personality. I know she cracks a little sometimes at the peak of her voice but it's minimal. All I know is i am following Abi and one other female singer I like a lot, the 25 year old that was adopted and found her family during the audition. I really like both of them and hope they finish 1,2 😊

Technically there are others this season that have more but, that doesn't guarantee the win. I like Abi and think she will be even better especially after this experience and her voice maturing over the next 2-3 years. She is a talented young lady. I am a musician and songwriter so for me I watch this competition not really looking for the winner but, the uniqueness, artistry and emotion evoking someone can bring in lieu of the typical commercial stuff that is put out.
