Very informative!! There are so many of us in Harry's fan base that love, love, love his voice and unique blended accent. Thanks for the great analysis.

Harry's accent is so reflective of his personality and attitude to life. He always talks about learning and taking in from professionals he meets along the way and it seems to be the same with his accents too. It's quite funny)) By the way, the accent he used to have back when the band just started was also funny because he sounded very northern england + a bit of posh, it suited him back then too. His mum has a great accent as well, he obviously got that posh flair from her))

Could you do Louis Tomlinson's his accent too? I need subtitles! He says like "did it ert?" When a fan shows him a tattoo and the fan looks confused at him and then he asks "did it hurt sorry" 🤷🏻‍♀️

He had a completely typical Cheshire accent when he first started appearing on TV. I grew up in a town about 5 miles down the road from Holmes Chapel. It's utterly mangled now.

So interesting! I have a “mixed” accent myself having lived in different parts of the UK. It will be really interesting to work out which features of my accent are from where!

I think most people have some mixed elements! With the influence of the internet and tv nowadays it’s difficult to sound PURELY from one place! So you’re not alone 😄

I moved around quite a bit for my mum’s job as a child. So people often have a difficult time placing me. Spent the first 6 years of my life in a suburb a bit north west of London. Then spent two years in Cambridge. Then moved to Harrow in London where I still live. My mum is also from Aberdeen and my dad from Somerset. I have a feeling hearing their accents so much at home must have had some impact on mine. Because so many people are so confused when they hear me. I think in all honestly I’m closest to RP. But I think if someone like you who can pinpoint these accents to places rather well had a listen you might be able to point out certain things. But over the years I’ve had people think I’m from all over. Had people think I’m Swedish, and Danish. So perhaps there is something Nordic in my voice. Had people think I’m Australian. Even had one person who thought I was Spanish, although I was learning Spanish at the time and I spoke in a more Spanish accent when speaking Spanish so maybe that seeped a little into my English. There are definitely people out there who due to moving around and some other factors have very weird accents. Harry Styles is one of them.

Hi, thanks for this lesson :) In generall I know that the best practice to understand others and to not be confused is to listen different people/content, but I'm afraid that I will learn this incorrect way of speaking, as I'm not sure which one is the correct one... I'm trying to learn RP

When he spend a lot of time in his home (england) his accent got strong. But to be honest Harry always has a lazy or soft talk, since he was a teen.
