You don’t “lead” the fight with Derrick Lewis I know in real time it’s different but you could see he was counter punching with over hands to Curtis’ straights.

This makes Jailton Almeida's performance even more impressive. He lost to Blaydes due to overconfidence and carelessly throwing himself at Blaydes' legs. Blaydes has no chance in a rematch.

Flash knockouts happen all the time in MMA so not landing those shots is risky and gives your opponent a chance to recover and stay in the fight. Ref should’ve stepped in sooner, it’s not Derricks fault. It’s on the ref. And this is real fighting, don’t be surprised by a lack of mercy.

@@andreaskaphengst8121there are cases of flash ko’s where a fighter will notice last second and stop themselves before landing additional strikes but it’s not always possible, when they step in the ring it’s “defend yourself at ALL times” Derrick didn’t know if Blaydes was finished until Herb stepped in to end the fight, Curtis Blaydes would probably agree and probably would have done the exact same thing

My grandma could've timed that counter punch. Blaydes has the lowest fight IQ in the division. Tf is UFC giving him Aspinall again. Unless Tom slips on a banana peel and breaks his leg again, he's gonna kill Blaydes. He fumbled every single title eliminator he ever had.

You do not watch combat sports bud, mma fighters careers last longer then boxers. It’s a know fact in combat sports that boxing is more dangerous then mma due to the fact that one can be knocked down and be given 10 seconds to get back up, Just to accumulate more brain damage. Just look it up

Boxing actually damages you more than mma, hence why there are (from what I know) no mma deaths, compared to the many boxing deaths that happen. Because in MMA, you get knocked down and stunned, the fight is over. In Boxing you get 10 seconds to recover before going back to be beaten up again

This is why HW is one of lesser popular divisions though. 12 minutes of 1 significant strike a round until some finally catches someone. At least when I watch LWs fight, I know I'm going to see guys who a technically proficient. The blob era continues.

You can watch lw all you want just watch them roll around lmao. And before you bore me with the “there’s knockouts in the lw division” no shit Sherlock there’s knockouts in every division, but there’s a reason why there’s a higher knockout rate in hw divisions. People watch for the knockouts and big wins, quit acting like you didn’t know this.
