What a Type V Civilization Can Do | COSMOS in a minute #36

Ғылым және технология

A Type 5 civilization is the highest level on the Kardashev scale, a method of measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use. This hypothetical civilization is not merely galactic or universal but multiversal, meaning it has the ability to harness and manipulate the energy, matter, and even laws of multiple universes or dimensions. Its technology would be indistinguishable from magic to lesser-developed civilizations. Type 5 civilizations might be capable of creating or destroying universes at will, altering fundamental constants of physics, and even manipulating reality in ways we can't currently comprehend. However, since our understanding of multiverse theory and higher dimensions is still in its early stages, these ideas remain highly speculative and the subject of science fiction rather than fact.

Any technology you don't understand is basically magic. I mean, most of us have a very rudimentary understanding of most common technologies. To the average person, a motor, a solar panel or even just a magnet are absolutely magic. They just became used to it. Most people can't tell you how anything works. It just does. I mean, really nobody understands anything FULLY. At best we can thoroughly test things, write down the results of our experiments, and find patterns with predictive power for the phenomenon we see. That isn't true understanding. We just have managed to describe something somewhat accurately 😂 Imagine someone asks you if you UNDERSTAND gravity, and you say "yeah well, apparently masses attract each other... And we measured it to follow this specific formula" Yeah. You don't understand gravity. You kind of Managed to describe its effects to some degree. That's like writing down a big number. Like, a million. It's really easy and write out a million, but can you grasp the actual quantity of what a million is? I can honestly hardly grasp 20 😂 I'm literally a hairless ape.😂😂

That's a stupid definition. That can't make sense but it's only subjective and the opinion of a person who thinks they're an ape. I'm not a ape. I'm a human being with intrinsic value and meaning where I'm too rational but enough that I have reason and faith where I can place that into logically. Magic is not reality it's not truth it's definitely not good but it simply is . And it does exist. Now that is not my opinion it's not terrifying that evil humans can use magic for their own evil desires because the truth is the magic comes from a malevolent source worse than Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin you can't misuse magic because magic itself is evil. So almost any intentions to use it is evil. Usually it's a naive humans who think they can harness it's power but eventually it consumes them and turns them into greedy selfish horrendous evil people because their wicked heart which all humans have but a individual must decide if so good or if not evil.

All of that scicraft did it, By their insane game knowledge and manipulatiok of code itself. At that point they reached the technology so hight that it is indistinguisable to magic in minecraft. GG. Speedrun of super mzrio world make me too think about that when they data manipulate to get to the end of the game or credit page by being eaten by a yoshi and generating X entity in a way to generate unobtainable items and go make the game thing you reached the credits. For those wondering, humans are currently type 0.7 on the scale. 0.72823 more precisely (according to world 2022 consumption). Edit: for those who keep "correcting" me by adding more decimal places, here you go: In 2022, total world energy consumption was 604.04 ExaJoules, which is 167,790 TWh of energy. Total power in 2022 = 167,790/(24×365) = 19.154 TW. Using Carl Sagan's formula, (log(19.154×10¹²)-6)/10 = 0.72823. I preserved all 5 significant figures, using the latest stats from Statistical Review of World Energy report 2023. Can't get any more precise.

The scale goes: I-Planetary. II-Solar III-Galactic IV-Universal V-Multiversal Kardeshev only actually envisioned the first three, but the other two are natural logical conclusions of how far this would go. BUT, what does it mean to be universal and multiversal? The observable universe can't be traversed because of limitations of the speed of light. Many postulate that because of this, the universe technically counts as a multiverse, being theoretically infinite. Further more, our models show more than one potential type of multiverse, so...all the energy in the sum total universe? All the energy in the Everitt Many Worlds? All the energy in other spacetime bubbles? All the energy across all 9/11/26 dimensions predicted by string theory? The multiverse is entirely theoretical, so as long as we're including theoretical models, let's remember that we can take this scale as high up as you want to go, through the omniverse and beyond the source wall. Let's conquer the Megaverse together!

And it is not that we have technologies or even advanced ideas that he would wonder at, but more that we are able to fathom infinity, the Quantum and that nothing is intrinsically impossible, unlike the generations before us. If we were to see evidence of a "godlike" technology or society, virtually everyone today, would assume it is just advanced science, even people from undeveloped countries. Concepts and theories such as this within science took me from accepting of things like religion, supernatural thoughts, spirituality, etc. to realizing they aren't only just ignorant nonsense, but wouldn't even been consequential if there was fact supporting them. A few examples: -Bigfoot. If this creature was real and validated, at most it would mean revising the evolutionary history of humans. At its most basic it's a new creature we hadn't fully discovered. -God. If this creature was real and validated, at most it would indicate a different type of consciousness, dimensional being, etc. At its most basic it's a new type of matter or concept of physics. -Magic. If this concept was real and validated, at most it would indicate some form of cross-dimensional force or matter. At its most basic it's a heretofore misunderstood particle or form of matter. But in all of these cases, the element of these otherwise fictional creations not only ignores how vast and powerful the actual universe itself continues to be in spite of their existence or non-existence, but how ultimately little would be impacted if they were found to be factual. Bigfoot: Anthropological updates. God: Changes to physics; "worship" still makes no sense nor would the creature's interest in humanity. Magic: Changes to physics. New applications or modifications to existing technologies if applicable. Whatever developments we discover or create as we proceed as a species have and will undermine even the most unbelievable religious, spiritual, or supernatural ideas humanity has ever come up with. How terrifying is the galaxy-wide battles of Warhammer in comparison to a universal or dimension-scale war? What would a Lovecraftian Cthulu-like entity truly mean if compared to the speed and growth rate of an ever expanding universe? Every concept, fictional or not, we've ever conceived of pales in comparison to reality.

@IehzHwhd Yeah, I used to be 100% anti-Kardashev until I realized that his originals have a clear purpose: identification. A type 1 would make its planet look kind of weird, a Type 2 would noticeably diminish the brightness of their star, and a type 3 could do the same for a galaxy. Thus we could see the effects of these civilizations via telescopes. Now they just get used by comic book nerds for arbitrary powerscaling.

A type 7 has been proposed however it has been theorized that it may be impossible to reach it no matter the technology abilities of a species. So a type 6 would be the highest. A type 6 being may just be pure consciousness. Their technology would be capable of travel to different dimensions and possibly different timelines. There energy sources may be entire universes or even something indistinguishable from magic to us.

I actually believe we already DO live/exist in a type 5 level civilization and also the Mandela effect raises the question of the existence of a multi-verse which then leads Me to consider the FACT that we may actually already exist in a type 5 level civilization! @@Learn_A_Teach Your descriptions of knowledge, experience, and imagination are a bit off. Let me explain. Knowledge is derived from experience, be it going out into the world and living it, or learning about it in school, or taking in media about it. Imagination takes our experiences and expands on them with the more theoretical side of knowledge. For example, I know what shopping is like from experience. I also know what shopping is like for someone of a higher economic class than me from what I see in media, and thus I can extrapolate an imagined situation where I am that wealthy, and have some sense of what it might be like to go shopping in that context. I can then further extrapolate a new imagined scenario about someone as far above the wealthy people I know about as they are above me, and what shopping might be like for them. In that sense, imagination uses experience as a foundation, a starting point if you will, but is not bound by it.

They built "quantum mirrors" for exploring infinite parallel universes, and ultimately ascended to a higher plane of existence to live on as immortal energy beings.

Humanity presently stands at Type 0.7276 on the Kardashev Scale, which was proposed to quantify the relationship between energy consumption and the development of civilizations. However, current predictions of human civilization remain underdeveloped and energy consumption models are oversimplified. In the words of google, that is. That just shows how LOW humans rank, a type 0.7 is an incredibly low number.
