GP’s are honestly worse than useless in my area. Even if you do manage to get an appointment my GP refuses to do anything 9 times out of ten. I had to make an official complaint last year. Glad you managed to at least get somewhere and hopefully you’ll be on top form again before your trip

NHS in Wales is not fit for purpose.Years ago (i'm shewing my age now ) there was no appointment system you just walked into surgery,waited your turn and went in to see your Doctor, the Doctor who knew you and the family. Sadly those days are i think gone forever.

I'm lucky and fortunate enough to have a family doctor for the past 30 years. It's an old fashioned practice and now his son has joined him. We all know each other and as there are 2 practices in my small town, we all call the doctors by their first names. No queues except a small one when very busy. I don't even need to ring. We have a state system Which is free for the people on benefits and a paying one for everyone else, but all see thr same doctors

We had terrible winds last night. It was howling. Our GP surgery is quite good. It's only quite small practice. They can get you out of hours appointments and if you are genuinely really in need of a GP they have appointments held back for such patients

The appointment system is rubbish, we can book online appointments at our GPs but only in advance, which isn't good if you need to be seen straight away. Hope you feel better soon x Fish and chips looked delicious 😋

Trying to get a Doctor's appointment nowadays is like winning the lottery, your'e lucky if he or she can see you in less than two weeks - didn't use to be like this, mind you, I guess there's just a lot more people in the world these days

I got told to go to pharmacy with bladder infection. I told GP I had a weak immune system so may need two different antibiotics (quite usual for me) but they insisted. Pharmacist couldn't prescribe more than 3 days (I usually need 7-10 days) so I ended up needing to see GP anyway. Mental system

There's a bug going round , like a stuffy head cold with a cough.ive just got over five days of it .just dosed myself up on solpadene.hope your ok.imo have plenty of rest and tc xx

I sympathize with you! Here in central Texas, it's the same difficulty you have getting a doctor's appointment. They're booked out at least a month or more in advance. You can try to get in on a same-day appt, but even that is very hard. So frustrating. I really hope you feel better soon! Hope the cream will help. Rest & green tea, too ❤🫖🤗

Hi Imo.. sending get well hugs..A long time ago I used a shower in a local gym..not realising I had a tiny break in the skin on my big toe..a while later I developed a sore in the area..I tried all sorts of treatments then eventually bought and used cold sore ointment.. within two weeks the sore was healed..I can't explain the relief..I could wear pretty open sandals again..and the gym shower?..never went near the place again..😮😉🤭x

Have you had your nose swabed, try vasaline on it for a few weeks, its only on one side, u nose ring ,is it pure silver, did you have the infections before, if not, u could be allergic to it, run down.

Does it sound like that because the camera is near the phone and might be interfering with it out go just put you on triage if it’s urgent enough and you have to send pictures first and they either ring you and get an appointment or they just send antibiotics to pharmacy

Hi I'mmo just a thought I'm abit older than you and are not on h r t but take magnesium for Brain fog and I use yam cream to manage my symptoms it's been a game changer.

Oh its an awful system for everyone. It's very worrying. I never want to go back.. Hopefully 😢

Too bad about getting to see a Dr. Is that because of a Dr shortage? We've had the same Dr for 18 years. Most times we can get into the office the same day if needed. Seems so archaic having to get into a cue. Hope you get things sorted asap.

GP’s just seem to want to make it as hard as possible for people to get seen here, especially since the pandemic. Mine likes to refer you to the hospital for needless tests, but refuses to refer you for something that is actually necessary
