Wow! Does this ever bring back fond memories! Hunted at Heritage in October 2019, so can't tell you how good it is to see Jurie, Mbuso, Lucky, and Krisjan so far in the first hour. These guys worked so hard to make my trip the best I have ever had! I highly recommend Heritage, has great facilities and property with super quality animals and a fantastic staff! This was my 3rd trip to South Africa, but the best for sure! Took my first Cape Buffalo at Heritage and got to watch the Springboks win the world cup at a great little pub in Kimberley! heritage will NOT disappoint! Super video! Thanks.

@@AfricanSunProductions I do hunt. I mainly archery hunt deer and elk with a little birds and bear mixed in. That is another reason I am so attracted to your videos. The camera work (angles and point of view) makes me feel like I am along with you. . The dream is to make a trip to Africa. At this time other priorities take the finances. Hoping to start a "safari fund". Maybe as a retirement vacation. Keep up the good work and I look forward to you next vid

Great animals, landscape, filmwork, PHs, and most importantly the shots! You can tell the hunters are well intuned with their rifles. Ps, I was just thinking about how much film you must of shot. The editing must take a really long time. If you don't mind me asking, how long does editing a video like this take? Your work is impressive.

Thanks Steven, I appreciate you seeing the hard work we put in. I'll edit a hunt like this in about 8 days, 12 hours per day. It is a lot of work. If I remember correctly this hunt was about 85 gigabyte of raw footage. Thanks again for watching!

Thanks Dane, I really appreciate the kind words. I have a team of great cameramen and we go wherever the hunters need us. Sometimes the hunters will contact me directly, other times through the outfitter. It's a real fun job!

Hi Jeffrey. Usually only on an wounded animal. Are you referring to the one Red Hartebeest? He was quartering away a lot yes, but with the rigth calibre it's a very effective shot.

The angle definitely was more than hunters usually prefer, but if you are confident in your capabilities and your rifle, it works. I do appreciate that you watch and listen so closely, it shows that I need to pay attention to the edits otherwise you'll catch my mistakes, lol.

Come to think of it, he did call it a Texas heart shot but the bullet actually went in at the back of the ribs going straight to the opposite shoulder. Perfect shot on a tough angle. I'll re-watch that clip again to make sure this is the one I'm thinking of though.

Martin, it seems like there is a big color variation for blue wildebeest. Some seem to have a lot of black in them. Makes me wonder if they ever mate with the black wildebeest. Do you have any thoughts?

Morning Steven. I agree, there vary a lot, even the amount and color of the stripes in the hide differs sometimes. I think it's just genetics or maybe the type of food they eat. There might be some mixing with different type of Blue Wildebeest, like the King's or the Golden, but I've never heard about Blue and Black mixing. It is an interesting question though and I'll do some research.

Hello. Yes we definitely are. All these hunts are part of sustainable utilization programs designed to increase wildlife numbers as a whole by protecting the land and habitat where thousands of animals live and breed. It actually protects endangered species.
