What a creative name for your channel! I really appreciate your energy the kids are lucky to have you :)
Hi, I WAS one of those students who received special education services, so maybe I can offer my perspective, as well as some tips for how to handle things. What I didn't like when I was in school was when other students or teachers/staff would "tell on" me. So what I would suggest is teaching mainstream students and teachers/staff, as well as other special ed students and teachers/staff about which of your students behaviors need to be reported, and which ones they can either ignore or handle on their own first. If a student says something that could potentially be offensive, the other person can calmly say, "Wendy, I really don't like it when people say X, so please don't do it again," or, "Josh, I think it hurt Kyle's feelings when you said X." But if said student continues saying whatever it was, even after the other person has already asked them not to, then that person needs to inform you or another one of that student's teachers about what has been going on. However, if one of your students is acting in a way that is dangerous or destructive, or that could potentially land someone in serious trouble, you or someone else on that student's educational team need to be told about the situation as soon as possible.

Yes tattling over silly things is always a problem especially with the younger students
I wish the technology stuff you teach to your students were taught to me back in the late 1970's when I was an elementary special education student in 3rd and 4th grades with my teacher crush back then (1978 to 1980). Maybe KZread should have existed back then. Good job with your teaching methods Monica!!! We need this in Texas schools too!
