Bruce forsyth was a UK national treasure, entertained the nation on saturday nights for so many years. He also held the guisness world record for the longest male tv and entertainment career, and the female world record holder was the US's Legend Betty White. When Bruce died, she took the crown for the overall world record of longest tv career.

This program was made in 1993(!), nearly 30 years ago. There are two famous people in it: Bruce Forsyth (the guy who is telling off Lee) - he was an entertainer in the old fashion way, did a lot of game shows, also he was a very good dancer, he died in 2017; the guy with a soft toy walking up the stairs is Jack Dee (@1:00), a very good comedian (he never smiles).

I must've been to see Lee Evans a good 5-6 times and he's definitely one of the all time greats for me. An absolute legend who always puts on a top performance. The Jim Carrey comparison was spot on too as he definitely reminds me of Jim with all the physical style comedy, exaggerated facial expressions and so on. He's also the comedian that from all those I've seen who seems most genuinely appreciative of his fans and I've seen him stay back to put on an extra half an hour or perform suggestions such as his legendary Bohemian Rhapsody sketch just because a few people asked. All round top guy that's had me in tears of laughter so many times! Check out his later shows like Live In Scotland, XL , Live at Wembley, Live at the O2 etc, they are all brilliant

So glad you enjoyed watching Lee. He was a big part of my childhood. I was bullied and attacked at school at times and his stand up routines were like an escape. I would learn some of his mannerisms and voices, remember some of his jokes and used it at school. I become the clown of the playground and my impressions would make them bullies laugh and leave me alone afterwards. I even became good friends with one of them as I became a young adult as he has grown up and regretted his behavior, even apologising. Comedy is a distorted reflection of our reality that can hold your hand through the worst times. I wish Lee the happiest of days in his retirement

Lee the Legend always finishes with a big bang, writing all his own music. The guy brings so much to comedy and very talented. Also when he mentioned the American show 90210, he speaks about every day life… as in when you two would watch the show and relate to Lee when he mentions right lets be realistic when waking up. 90210 was an example of how these tv shows only show model types and supposedly being real life they always look amazing and have the perfect life. You said it yourself but you have to keep in mind his comedy is based on every day issues the working class would deal with :) all his shows are amazing but if you have the chance check out his Scotland show.. it’s old but gold and a very unique start to it

I went to go see Lee Evans with my mates.. We knew the time of the last train, and we would have to miss the last 10 minutes of the act.. We could see a bunch of other people suddenly leave at 1 point, and we guessed they had to get the same train too.. But, we all decided we would stay and miss the train.. We were glad we did, as he did the Bohemian Rhapsody for us Live... I fell/slid off my chair, I was trying to breathe but all I could do was exhale, I could never draw in more air as I was laughing so much... It was the best "missing a train" of my life.. Ended up having to wait an hour in the cold (thankfully, not raining) for my dad to drive to come pick us up.. Was totally worth it though.

The man who said i wonder if he knows who I was called Sir Bruce Joseph Forsyth-Johnson CBE (22 February 1928 - 18 August 2017) was a British entertainer and presenter whose career spanned more than 70 years. Forsyth came to national attention from the late 1950s through the ITV series Sunday Night at the London Palladium. He went on to host several game shows, including The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right, The Price Is Right and You Bet!. He co-presented Strictly Come Dancing from 2004 to 2013.[1] In 2012, Guinness World Records recognised Forsyth as having the longest television career for a male entertainer.[2]

Those crane machines normally have their payouts fixed. There's a cam hiding inside that sets the clamping force of the grabber, and that's what they adjust to make it pay out more or less.

Can I recommend you check out a little known British Comic called Chris McCausland, specifically his 2018 Live at the Apollo skit. He's registered blind, which brings a different perspective in to his comedy. I find him hilarious & more people should discover him (although he's started to make more appearances on panel shows these days). Love the reactions, keep them coming!

I've seen lee live on his retirement tour it was the hardest I've ever laughed in my life. I'm glad he had a break in the middle as my ribs were aching from all the laughing. I've read his book and seen interviews on him. He has said over the years he has really struggled with nerves and the thought of failing the audience which is why he is so lively on stage. He is a true comedy genius my favourite comedian by far
