It worked because Garrett's naivety to the subject allowed him to ask the questions all the rest of us that have never been 'hooked' on the 'man made chemical' drugs have wondered about. I know I have. Thanks for asking the questions, Garrett, and thanks to Dave and Gary for being forthright and honest.

Whether they know it or not, the Fellowship have helped me immensely over the past five years. I've fallen off the wagon a few times, but watching livestreams has kept me from indulging my vices more often than not. No joke. I told Gary and Mel that if I had a sponsor like him, I would still go to meetings. It's a strange dichotomy: It might be considered "cheating," but I still drink .🍸 Sometimes too much. Sue me. But I don't inject anything anymore. And I don't sniff the Devils Dandruff anymore. I'm always going to be an addict. Theres no getting around that fact. But when I get off work, I'm not dwelling on my deceased wife, nor fiending for the next fix to "alleviate" my pain. I can dust my shelves while listening to Flashcast. Or do dishes while listening to Mauler and Critical Drinker. O I can go for walks listening to Afternoon tea with Az. Or I can sit on my ass, put on Real BBC or FNT and enjoy. Hail
I was hooked on meth and heroin. 23 jail trips, 1 prison trip, 2 looney bin trips and several OD's didn't scare me straight, but one psychotic break did. If I could beat it, anyone can.

I still support Crowder but MY GOD is it apparent that Dave was responsible for more than 90% of the great sketches being put out while he was there. They have almost nothing now and the little they do have is markedly less funny with mostly repeats. It definitely rings true Steven put an emphasis on the writing with Dave because it's apparent now that he's gone. This is a great show. However, Garett’s deep dive questions about addiction and Dave and Gary’s honest raw answers were very much appreciated. I think those who have fought through addiction and recover are people we need to hear from more. They didn’t make it seem glamorous at all they said how much it sucked, the regrets, the humiliation, and the toll it took on their bodies. They were both honest and real and I really appreciate them both. Thanks Garett for asking them about it. Thanks Dave snd Garry for being open. I hope your stories say at least one kid or adult who’s in the middle of this battle.

Thank you Dave and Gary, for speaking on your personal experiences, real and raw. I hope you both know,by talking about your struggles,in the public eye, will hopefully help those suffering in silence. Dave,I always wondered how you sat beside Crowder & co. while they'd do their drunken livestreams and stayed sober. I'm proud of you for that Not for triggering yourself, but for pushing through, that's not an easy thing to do. It takes a lot of willpower and to having meaning and a sense of purpose. I commented on a couple of them. (Now it makes me wonder if he was contracted (& forced) to do those streams). We need more people to open up and speak on these "treatment centers" and how big pharma lobbies politicians and cons the common people with how the meds they give are more addictive and the only reason,I think they push them are for $$. In my area a prescription of oxycodone is around $20.00 for a month, while a prescription of bupenorphine goes for around $360.00 per week, when they can wean you off of oxycodone just the same.
Even after almost 5 years clean from heroin, I love hearing podcasts like this as it makes ya feel less alone, even when you’re not struggling. There’s a sense of community. Love the show guys, huge fan from the LWC days. 😎 Angel-A lookin cute as always. Love the hair

Yay!!! I literally get excited whenever there’s a new episode 😊 Love Dave & 1/4 Black
I guess the movie studios figured that their 'creative accounting' and sometimes cruel contracts/ NDA's would proceed flawlessy into this new era of streaming. They were wrong, preparation is everything and they were completely ill prepared for this new platform of entertainment. Example; Disney is thinking about selling their cable channels, a panic decision in my opinion. The disparities by default between the wages of (male) actors and the rest of the film crew are excruciating. I understand the writers who fight for royalty payments and sometimes have months between jobs. I had an experience with Motion Capture and voice acting and have to say even though gaming industry is a colossus these days, voice over actors and mo cap performers are not fully considered 'equal' talent as regular actors. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in the new Resident Evil games :)
The Smear the Queer sketch was hilarious .. love Kurt Metzger... And awesome to see that Ace Patterson (Tokenawen) made it over from Crowder too.

For 25 years I suffered with an addiction to heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, etc. I've been homeless for a good portion of those years. Arrested 20+ times, been to prison twice. Overdosed a few times. Seen countless overdoses, helped when I could. That kind of life is a special kinda hell. I got clean Nov. 10th 2021. I still feel hopeless/depressed more than I should. Life is starting to get better finally. I still have a long way to go and I just want to thank you guys for speaking about addiction. I look up to both Dave and Gary. You put a smile on a face that definitely needs to smile more..... thank you guys
This was a wonderful show. I'm in sobriety myself(6 years) & I love that you guys share about this stuff. This is the type of stuff that helps people realize they need to do something. And that they can. If I can do it, Gary, Dave & all the other people in AA/NA meetings, literally around the entire world, than you can do it too. And there's help. No one can do it for you, but there's so many that want to help. And guess what? Helping you, helps them. It's a wonderful thing.
