The nice part about being self-employed/influencer who uses their apartment for work/creating content, you can deduct your monthly rent and utilities as a business expense on Schedule C of your income taxes. That's very helpful in reducing your overall expenses. 🥳

Hi, from Nigeria!!! Totally love this apartment and how you've styled it. Honestly, worth comes if whatever I'm paying for brings value to me at that time. If I'm paying such amount for an apartment, and it's within my means, is sustainable for my pocket, provides additional amenities (gym, social venue etc), provides security and a sense of being secure, and still let's me eat and live healthy (mentally, physically, spiritually etc), without compromise, and within my desired lifestyle and environment, then it is totally worth it! 10years ago...or 10 years from now, my views on that price could change, and that's because we evolve as we grow....as we should. There will always be a trade-off, which we all just have to decide what suits us best. Mashallah, you are doing what works best for you.

The average price for a two bedroom two bathroom unit in Sweden and near the big cities or in the big cities is about 1300 us dollars. The highest rent for like a four roomer would be 1900 us dollars. Anything above that is very luxurious and the average person who would like to save wouldn’t be able to afford it. The average person pays around 500 us dollars for his/her part of the rent, so If you are two people the average rent would be 800-900 usd for a one bedroom apartment in Sweden

I live in Chicago and if you want to live downtown and in a nicely renovated apartment with good amenities a two bed two bath is about this price. I think this is just becoming the norm for major cities in the US unfortunately. My husband and I had the choice between moving out of downtown to a more dangerous neighborhood or staying with a one bed one bath apartment downtown with great amenities. Some people think we are crazy for what we are paying our place but we think it’s worth it. It’s all about your personal priorities when renting.

I'm so happy for you congratulations Mashallah it's beautiful. 👏 I'm must admit I was bit suprised and shocked at the beginning bc I'm from Paris and I had no idea that living in L.A could be as expensive but everything is relative because you said you live in a great area with other services (security, mailroom, gym, etc.) Paris is known as expensive for small space for example it takes about 1400/1800€ per month for a 3 rooms (including 2 bedrooms) of about 35/50m² really depending. So for 4000€ per month is a 4/5 rooms in Paris in an upscale neighborhood that why we can consider buying at this level.

But I did a search and most of the luxury apartments with doormen/controlled access for 2 bedroom 2 bath in my area go for about $2000 - $2500 a month. My favorite apartment complex has onsite dog grooming and dog parks, 9 foot ceilings, walk in pantries, large walk in closets, walk in showers and large soaking tubs, smart home automation, hard wood floors, all stainless steel appliances with quartz or granite countertops (depending on the model), multiple fitness centers, wifi, and several community spaces (community green spaces, recreations rooms, billiard rooms, office spaces, poolside pavilions, lounges, sundeck, picnic areas, and a club house) Honestly, if I didn't own my own home (and was willing to potentially pay more than double for rent than mortgage for less than half my current square footage), I would be trying to move in there, lol.

Born and raised in California...4000 is a pretty penny. Native Californians know to visit LA for pleasure and to live in the suburbs. You could get a 3 bedroom, 2,1/2 bath, front and back yard house for this price in the San Gabriel Valley...it nice though. My mortgage isn’t that expensive. Save and buy a house that’s 48 thousand a year, a good salary in the banking industry.

Okay thank you Riske because in some tours the camera person forgets to show the house and only focuses the camera on the creator haha. You didn’t do that. Thank you 😅 The place is really gorgeous Aysha. Absolutely cannot wait to see what you do with the new one!

In Nashville, TN. $2,100 is average for a 2 bed/2ba here. I moved just outside of the city in September 2021 (no roommates). My new apartment is closer to my university and I pay $850 for this lovely 2 bed/2ba. Location is everything. But since I moved in, the rent has risen from $850 to $1200 due to inflation.

It's so crazy hearing Koreatown is now 4k. I remember a huge 1 bedroom with a loft (separate entrance and bathroom) being $550. My little brother's teacher lived in that area, and her place was huge for $550. I wonder if she still lives there. They have nice places, but the area is not the safest.

@@louise-yo7kz Edmonton is like any big city. It has good and bad areas. However there’s so much that it offers like good schools, nice hospitals and very close to the best Canadian National parks. And I’ll add high paying oil and gas jobs. That’s the draw for people here.
