Wharfedale are great speakers and currently I own the Wharfedale 225 diamonds connected to a Rotel 981 amplifier and Fluance RT 85 turntable and the sound is wonderful, and to me there's no need of a subwoofer. I like your review.

I've watched this review several times. Very well done. I have the D310, D320, Diamond 11.2, and Diamond 12.0. I also have the Sony SSCS-5, which if you haven't, you MUST!!! I really love the D310 and enjoy switching my speakers out to get a different sound. The D310 has stayed in place for a while. They sing me to sleep and I enjoy them so much. They also scale up very well with more expensive electronics. I would love to see you move up the Wharfedale line and hear your thoughts. I think the obvious choice would be the Diamond 12.0, which also uses a 4" mid bass driver, and to me, has a very different sound signature, but is an amazing little speaker. The better build quality is obvious. They are also on sale right now down from $349 to $249, and you can get them in white, as I did. I am looking forward to your next review!

Your reviews of similar speakers that could be considered an upgrade or cross shopped items would be HUGE! You deserve more subs and likes!!!!! Keep it up! Did you mention the price in the review? Might have missed it At 129 they seem very good value

Wharfedale are great! I had diamond 11. The 11s are cool cause they can be bi amped

Until my 25 year old Infinity bookshelves fall apart, I'm keeping them. One day I will upgrade and get something like these. They are connected to a 25 year old Sony A/V receiver.

Same here, using vintage for everything except DAC and Bluetooth interface, also headphones are new. Rest is second hand or new bought over 30 years ago. Much better value in buying vintage higher end, plus reselling something makes at least your investment back. I am watching reviews out of interest and to maybe buy second hand in the future

I'm not bashing, don't want to come off this way. These speakers measure @ 4.1 ohms. You should test yours with a multimeter and update them. The website says 8 ohm compatible and minimum impedance 3.5 ohms. What this means is when you crank them up on non 4ohm stable equipment the output will fry on the amplifier.

I really liked your review...Have you compared these with the d320? Some reviews says that the d310 may be cleaner and faster. D320 sounds fuller obviously...But i will really like to know if you have listen the d320 also. Thanks.

Whats a good "cheap" dac/amp combo you would recommend for those speaker as a TV/Gaming console system ?

I am thinking along the lines of a BTA30 Pro (US$126) and a X2DUOO MT-602 ($94). The BTA30 Pro receiving BT signal and outputting via coax to the MT602 amp.

Sorry I am not a good source for that question. I used them with my Mytek Liberty DAC and the VMV A2. As mentioned in the video I am very limited with this information you seek. Sorry.

Cheap is relative, what price range are you looking at? Also do you want HDMI connectivity or going optical or?

@@annebokma4637 Thanks ! Bellow 400$. Source would probably be HDMI yeah. Unless a BT dungle exist for TV.

What are you asking? I test all gear to the best of my abilities for a review. I don't review a product unless I have heard it on my own gear.
