Whale Watchers Encounter 100-Ft-Long Blue Whale
Ғылым және технология
A group of whale watchers got to check off seeing the world’s largest animal up close from their bucket list on August 1, when a nearly 100-foot-long blue whale swam beneath their boat.

The watcher who filmed the footage told Newsflare, ‘It’s totally rare to have this species behave in such a friendly manner. Typically blue whales are very focused on feeding and not too interested in coming over to say hi. But this whale made repeated passes directly under us. Please remember this encounter happened all while the boat’s engines were turned off and not moving. A few times a year, we get to see whales initiate these special encounters.’

I never understand why some people are so mesmerized by an animals spatial awareness of their own size, its not that impressive the whale has nerves and feels things too😂
That’s a baby blue whale. Magnificent
He was just showing off how handsome he is !
Such positive comments on this video makes me realise world is a beautiful place filled with kind hearted people ❤

This is definitely not a full grown adult but a sub adult animal. It is still absolutely stunning to see in person. I'm sure it was enjoying watching the people as much as it was being watched by them.

Such a majestic creature. Just popping up to say hi
It's surreal that a majestic creature like this lives on the same planet as us

I think it's the other way around. They are part of nature and live in harmony within those boundaries. WE are the oddity, destroying everything we get near. Our arrogance keeps telling us that we are superior, yet (and this is low-balling the numbers) 3 species are going extinct every hour because of human activity. We need to clean up our act, and stop worshipping big industry.
What a perfect video no Voice over no music. Sich a Great ❤
That is the most incredible moment I’ve ever seen-how lucky are you?! So nice to see humans just quietly taking in the moment, respecting and appreciating this massive gorgeous creature beneath them….instead of the usual boat-full of lunatic screaming banshees. Absolutely remarkable😌

@@jaredschmidt8013yeah im confused too. Maybe he ment extinct? Animals use to be larger because of the oxygen in earths air. Which has deteriated from my understanding. I heard they been around for 80,000 years. But dont quote me on that either. For all we know they were around when the dinasours were

Due to commercial whaling a lot of the larger blue whales were hunted so you wouldn’t really see a blue whale this big due to most of them being dead. Now that whaling has mostly stopped (except for Japan and Norway I believe) blue whales are finally starting to get back to the size they were before whaling.

Should be illegal to kill whales globally. Alot of species really. Mankind has put many animals enstinct. Shamefully
What a beautiful shot from above!!! Beautiful !!! What an awesome experience !!!

Beautiful. Absolutely stunning. She/he could have killed everyone on that boat with one flick of her/his tail. Such a gentle creature. I love that no one was screaming or anything. Just let her/him be. ❤❤

Bit brutal lol it wouldn’t have killed everyone haha! Plus it wouldn’t do that anyway it has zero motive! They are well chill and entirely understand their surroundings, I have been a blue whale scientist for over 113 years. Trust me bru.

I just read a story about an old lady who was feeding wild animals in her back yard. EVEN GRIZZLY BEARS ! At the end of the story, it says two bears ate her in her back yard garden !!! This Blue Whale could have so easily tipped that boat over forcing them people to swim through shark infested waters to try and make it to shore ???
