WG STORYTIME: How I Moved to Sweden To Study After Losing A Scholarship
Hey Wise Grad! In this Wise Grad STORYTIME video, I'll share a bit of my story and tell you how & why I moved from Jamaica, to Japan, to Sweden. There was a point in my life where I felt as if I was stuck in a box when if came to my career/academic outlook. I felt limited by what was available to be and I all I want to do was to expand my wings, and fly. I broke the barrier and started to pursue the behavioral sciences and I have never felt better. I hope this story can inspire you. Interested in changing your major? Listen to Episode 2 of WISE GRAD on any platform or at WISEGRAD.ORG.

You're doing something that matters! God bless you on your journey. This girl in South Africa is inspired!
Can relate on the SI scholarship😂 I was so convinced that I would get the scholarship after all the time researching and writing. Unfortunately I didn't. I went back to my application and applied for a different program and scholarship, the scholarship was not available to my country but was blessed enough to still get a scholarship. Starting the programme in February online but I'm so excited. I learnt that a rejection is a redirection. I'm happier with the Msc program I'll be doing as it fits with my career plans. Thanks for the video

Thank you so much for your inspirational video. Please, how hard is it to get selected for a Ph.D. position in Sweden after completing your Master's degree in a third world country?
So inspiring!!!! You got me so motivated tp continue further study in Sweden ❤️
I’ve been failing my exams recently, this video did really inspire me and looking back where I come from and remembering that I have lots of opportunities other people don’t, It would be disappointing to not make good use of it.
Wonderful post. What is the specific name of the podcast episode that spoke about the personal statement? The rotary scholarship you referred to, can you send a link about it. Would love to hear about your experience in Sweden, especially as an international student of colour and the support system there.
Love this vid❤️ it is my dream to do a PhD in Sweden and this has motivated me to keep working towards my dream ✨
